Hi,
If you have any comments about my #9, #10 logos feel free to share.
Thanks!

#27, #28 are some new options in which 'pro web' is written in a more creative way to suit with the modern icon.

Hi Pink,

I think the #34 looks great! I really like the clean and professional look of the donkey face! It's a new winner so far. :) I also like the font that you used there, it's elegant and minimal.

I am not so crazy about the text layout though. The top part can be mistaken for "prol" instead of "pro" and I just don't like how it looks in general. I like things to be aligned and symmetrical, and the text here is not.

Can you make a few different variations with different text options:

1) Can you make "pro web" in one line and "assist" right underneath the word "web". I would like the word width of "assist" to be exactly the same as width of the "web". Of course, the font size of "pro web" should be still larger, than that of "assist".
2) Same as variation 1 above, but make the word "assist" blue and donkey's eyes blue as well
3) Make "pro", "web" and "assist" stacked on top of each other with "pro" and "web" still being dominant size. I want each word to be the same width.
4) Same as variation 3 above, but make the word "assist" blue

Also, I would still love to have an identical donkey face shape made up of clean thin lines (sort of like #35). Can you make variations of it too please? #35 just somehow doesn't look as elegant and polished as #34.. Not sure why, even though I can see that it pretty much uses the same lines..

That's a great, detailed feedback, many thanks!
I'll make the adjustments you mentioned and upload new versions very shortly.

Please check the following drafts:
#42, #43, #44, #45 are versions according to your comments.
Personally I find 'stacked' alignment really cool and modern.

#46, #47
I worked more on donkey's features in order to give a smoother, cleaner look without too many lines.
Let me know if I've achieved something better than before!

I look forward for your feedback :)
Thanks,
Pink

Thanks for creating the new variations! The #42 is the best looking one so far, I think.

However, you misunderstood the variation requirements for 1 & 2. I wanted the "pro web" to be in one line (you did that, thanks for that), but I wanted the "assist" to be ONLY under the "web" word (so the font size/spacing for "assist" would have to be adjusted to fit under the "web" word perfectly). Can you do that please? I just want to see how it looks.

Regarding my favourite so far - #42: it seems like the "assist" is different thickness from "pro web". Can you make them the same please?

Regarding #43 & #45: it seems like the font sizes for "pro" and "web" are different. I would like them to be the same. Only "assist" should be smaller.

Regarding #46 & #47: I actually like the previous face (#35) more, to be honest. I am actually looking for an almost identical look as the one with coloured face (#42), because I am planning to use them interchangeably throughout my business branding. For example, I'd want to be able to display logo made of lines by default and then display coloured one on mouse hover - which would require the size and structure of the logo to be identical. Maybe just try making the lines thiner? Because my problem with #35 right now is that is just looks congested in places, where lots of lines meet.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'll fix that asap.
The reason I used font in different thickness was because I wanted all texts to be legible regardless their size but I'll fix that as well.
New drafts are coming soon!

Hi Pink,

Thank you so much for making variations so quickly, I really appreciate it.

Regrading #53 & #54: I really like how each word is the same width as the width between the edges of donkey's ears, it looks aligned - I love alignment! :) But I don't like that "pro" is so spaced out.. Why is this happening? Is it possible to make it look like it doesn't have spaces between each letter (it looks like "p r o")? I still would like to keep the font the same size, width & style though.. I understand that it might be because of the font face. So maybe we could try a variation of another font, where each letter is the same (or very similar) width? I really really like the clean look of the current font, so the new one will have to be very very similar. Hope it's not too much trouble..

Regarding #53: can you please show me how it would look like with thinner gaps between geometric blocks (to match the style of #52)?

Thank you so much for all your effort!

Hello and thanks for the feedback :)
The problem with #53, #54 is that unfortunately the width of letters in "pro" isn't the same with "web". I'm afraid that more or less same will happen with other fonts as well (w is quite wide in most fonts and r is narrow!).
Nevertheless I'll try new fonts and maybe try a version with all caps...

Of course I'll try a variation of #53 with thinner gaps between geometric blocks, I want you to be 100% satisfied with the final result.

Thanks!

Here are the new variants #61, #62, #63.
In all grayscale versions I made thinner gaps between geometric blocks to match with the lines version.

The new font family I've tried is "Walkway", which has a light, contemporary style.
In this font collection letters are wider than in #53 font, so spacing is less.
In #63 I had to make an adjustment on "w" but I don't think it's very obvious...
Also in #61 I used "Walkway" in all caps. What do you think?

Thanks :)

Hey there,

Thanks for new submissions. I like #62 the most, I think. However, you made the gaps a bit too thin this time, they even started to look zig-zaggy.. Sorry to be such a pain, but can you please play around with the thickness to make gaps in #62 thinner than in #50, but wide enough so that the lines won't start breaking into zig-zags?

Also, when you will figure out the thickness issue, can you please make one copy with just the word "assist" in blue.

And also one copy with the donkey face made out of lines-only, so that lines will be the same width as the new gap width in #62 that you will create.

Thanks again!

One more thing, I noticed that the tips of the donkey's ears are straight in #50, but became bent a little in later revisions. Can we just keep them straight please? Just to be clear, I am talking about the very top last triangle of each ear.

No problem I'll try to find the right thickness for the gaps.
I'll be back shortly!

In #64, #65 gaps are something between #62 & #50.
I'am not sure if the difference is very visible because size and resolution aren't so good...
If you like it let me know in order to proceed with the lines version. Thanks!

Thanks for such a quick edit.

Yeah, you are right - the difference is barely noticeable in this size.. Can you just maybe make it just a tiny bit thinner?

To be honest I think we will never use the donkey face in a much larger size than this anyway (besides maybe on our car prints in the future, if we'll decide to go that route, but it will most likely have to be retouched anyway for that media). We'd probably be using the logo similar to how the guys at red fox media use their logo throughout the site: https://www.redfoxmedia.com.au/ On the website, we'll have one in the menu header (and the header will shrink in size, once scrolled past the top section), one in the footer and a maybe some throughout some pages that talk about our company. I am not so worried about business cards, since I am sure it can be scaled to look good on print. So basically this logo needs to scale down to a smaller size gracefully. Maybe that means that we might need to use a variation with thicker gaps, when creating smaller versions of the donkey for icons & especially favicons and then use the variation with thinner gaps, where we have more room..

Here you go #66 (I think you'll need a magnifying lens to notice the difference from the previous one!).
Anyhow if you do like it, I'll make its line version. Thanks :)

No, I think that's perfect, actually. The difference is definitely noticeable, when compared to #50 & #62! Please make a line version of it please, I can't wait to have a look. And please make one made from white lines on blue background, please, as well. Looking forward to see them!

Please check #68, #69.
The lines have exactly the same width as the gaps in #66.
In black version #68 lines may look thicker but they're not. An option is to make them gray if you want.
Thanks,
Pink

Hey!

Thanks again! Love #69 (sounds a bit wrong :) ). But are the lines in #68 really the same as in #69?! Wow.. They definitely look thicker in #68 than in #69.. It's like one of those visual mind tricks :)

Loving #69 sounds pretty natural ;)

Ok, since you offered, I want to play around with different text positioning variations..

I am worried that the logo is too tall right now, meaning that my website menu would have to be quite tall as well to accommodate the donkey face + company name underneath it. Can we try different variations of the name positions please? Here are some ideas:

1) "pro" and "web" on each side of donkey's nose and then "assist" directly under the face, centred (something like what MightyBeaver did in #49). Try to make the letter spacing look nice, play around with it, I trust your judgement.
2) "pro web" with "assist" underneath on the right side of the donkey's face. So the company name will look similar to #42 (but make "assist" less spaced out and appear the same thickness as "pro web") and the positioning of the company name similar to #34.
3) Place the current #66 company name to the right side of the donkey's face (similar to #34).

Also, please tell me what is the font face name that you are using now (i.e. #66) and what's the name of the one in #10?

Cheers,
Alex

Sure I'll try the versions you mentioned except of MightyBeaver's. He might claim that i've copied his layout and I'll be in trouble...
Right now i'm out of office but I'll be back in about 3 hours so please be patient for the new drafts. Tnx!

Hi Alex,
The font I've used is Helvetica Neue, to be more specific the UltraLight version.
I had to play a bit with the thickness of letters to make all words to look the same but the base is Helvetica Neue UltraLight.
So here are the new variants you asked: #72, #73.
Let me know which one you prefer.
Cheers,
Pink

Thank you.

I think #73 looks better than #72. The word "assist" is just too spaced out in #72 and a bit larger than what I want it to be..

I think I am already happy with how #66, #69 and #73 look.

I've got only 2 more things I wanted to try and I think I'm out of ideas :)

1) Can you please make a version of #66 and #73 with "pro web" in dark grey and "assist" with light grey colour (same shades as the ones used for the donkey's face)?
2) Can you make a variation of #66 & #73 with the font from #10 please, just to see how that would look like? One in lower case and one in upper case, please. What font name is it, btw?

Cheers,
Alex

Alex please check these new ones: #74, #75, #76, #77, #78, #79.
New font's name is "Raleway thin".
As you'll notice both fonts I've used are the same with the ones you suggested at your brief.

Awesome! I think I've just found my new favourite! Love how it looks with the grey colours! :)

Sorry to be a pain, can you please make just few more sets of simple text variations:

1) Set of #74 & #75 with all words capitalised
2) Set of #74 & #75, where "pro web" is capitalised and "assist" is still lowercase
3) Set of #76, #77, #78 & #79 with the same grey text colour scheme as #74 & #75

Looking forward to it!

I just noticed that #81, #82, #84 & #86 are using thicker lines, like what we had in previous version of the donkey head.. It's no big deal atm, but in the final version I'd want the lines to be same as in #74. But no need to spend time updating them right now, I think. I can still show the logos as they are to the team to get their feedback and select the a favourite.

Cheers,
Alex

I can assure you that in all drafts I used the same donkey's face.
It's just that in some drafts I've slightly enlarged the whole logo so the lines look thicker.
Keep in mind that in such low resolution and size details can be easily lost.
Thanks :)

Oh, I see. Fair enough :) I will discuss the logos with my team and will rate them as soon as we'll come to an agreement. Thanks!

Hi Pink,

Congrats, you are definitely in the semi-finals and looks like you are going to win! :D I like #84 the most now! And my team is loving the design too.

1) Can you please make some small adjustments to #84: keep the font face for all text "Raleway Thin", but change ONLY the letter "W" to Helvetica Nue UltraThin (basically like in #87) and make the "ASSIST" lowercase.
2) Make the variation above with all lowercase letters
3) Make the variation 1 & 2 above with text under the donkey's face (like in #80)

Sorry, I just really like super sharp look of Raleway font, but don't like just the way W looks :)

Looking forward to it!

Cheers,
Alex

Sorry, I made a typo in the previous message! I mean to say that #83 is my current favourite (so the 1st ranked one), so please base all of the above modifications based on #83. So here the requested changes, just in case:

1) Can you please make some small adjustments to #83 : keep the font face for all text "Raleway Thin", but change ONLY the letter "W" to Helvetica Nue UltraThin (like in #87 ) and make the "ASSIST" lowercase (like in #81)
2) Make the variation above with all lowercase letters
3) Make the variation 1 & 2 above with all text under the donkey's face (like in #80)

Thanks again,
Alex

Hi Pink,

Yes! This is it! :) I love them all. But I think the winner is: #97. :) I would still want them all though, especially the #98 - to be used in places, where height is not an issue.

Can we please make the last 4 designs (97-100) in lines-only version? Just make the lines & text white colour on blue background. I assume we'll be able to change the colours easily in AI in the future anyway.

And I think we'll be done here. :)

Cheers,
Alex

That's awesome, cheers! I am happy with it all, I think :)

Can I ask you to change the line thickness for 101-104 to match the thickness of the font? But only do it, if that doesn't make the donkey face lines appear zig-zaggy (like what happened in #62). If you'll try it and the lines will start breaking - just leave 101-104 the way they are, it's ok.

Hi Alex,
I made a sample #105, in which lines are thinner, almost the same as in font.
I don't want to make them thinner because they'll look zig-zaggy as you mentioned.
Tnx!

I love it! It looks great! I am thinking whether we should play around with slightly thicker text or just leave it the way it is.. It definitely looks great though! Much better than 101-104 :)
