Our Ideas & Additional Information
looking for a logo of an old school postman on a longboard skateboard (no kick tail) with a package under his arm. He could be just finishing a kick with one leg in air the other planted. Face forward, head on or profile. Package could be the dimensions of a skateboard. Package could look old school with a bit of twine wrapped around both ends of the box. I am looking for a "Betty Boop" "Felix the Cat" sort of feel... Not "Pep Boys". With this the colors should not get too sophisticated, two to four max.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Thank you for the helpful advise. I look forward to getting the entries. I have started multiple businesses and spent thousands on getting the logos I have in my head into files. I simply don't have time to learn or work on that end of the business. I will be posting other competitions shortly for three completely different businesses. I think the likelihood is high we will discover some fresh new talent for each of the businesses.

Hello, Joshua. I couldn't open the second attachment.

I guess there is some trouble with the second attachment. It is essentially just a guy running with his briefcase. He is in a full pose one foot on the ground, the other way up behind him.

In the original logo description I was mentioned that I didn't want a "pep boys" type logo. That was incorrect. That was a typo. That style is the style we are going for.

# 26 I really like this design. It is closest to our original idea, with a couple of exceptions here are a few suggestions:

1. The board - I would prefer a view that is at the boards profile. if the board was flat it would simply look like a strait line with two circles on the bottom which look like wheels. In this case we do not want a simple line but an "eyebrow shape" which we call reverse camber. You can look it up online. Thus it would be a simple line with no depth, with a slight arch.

2. The wheels you have are good, we are looking at a single dimension with no depth... like a box, not a cube. also the wheels should not be touching the line (board) slightly below as you have them.

3. The Guy - without changing the angle of the "post leg" (the leg on the board) get him to lean forward about 30% more, bend the knee of the post leg to give him a lower position (not too much) this should raise his back leg further and give him a better sense of urgency. Also exaggerate the left arm so we can see at least a triangle shape through the under-side of the elbow.

4. Square up the hat and give us a version of the hat on backwards.

5. This is tricky - Though this is the closest by far, we are looking for somewhat of a hybrid between this logo and the simple cartoon over exaggerated features of #15, making it a little less serious and more fun. I really like the imagery of #1 of the post bag with mail flying out. It portrays the urgency best of all logos.

Thanks for the submission

#31 is a cool logo perhaps overly simple but very close to what we want it is somewhat hard to explain that we are after lies somewhere in-between #31 & #26. The fun feel and the feeling of speed of #31is a winner, the dependability of #26 is also important.

Also hard to understand if you are not a longboarder, but the "eyebrow arch" in the logos is going the wrong way. There is no definitive bending points, just one, slightly longer, arch. The shape we are using now may be considered a bowl shape, turn that upside-down and smith out your curve and you have your arch. also push the wheels colser to the ends of the board.

I think we are getting closer.
