I need to talk to my colleague about the unranked ones... the blue background I think is a no-go because it'll be difficult to handle on letterhead, etc. I definitely like the briefcase dude, we'd probably lean against the white text on orange for the same reason as leaning away from the blue but it does have a nice pop to it... will think about it. Any way you can include the "PI Experiential Learning" tag with the briefcase dude one?
Also, we're having an offline discussion about 45-47. There's something appealing about them. Maybe it's the symbol on the left that seems to get at the data-driven, team experience - like a network of connections.
It's not quite there, but there are some elements that are interesting.
Thanks for your continued effort; we really appreciate it. We like the person w/ the briefcase as the 'x' (#57). Is there a way to simplify it so it doesn't look so cartoon-y and more classic? Simple, all business, not someone trying to catch a train. Maybe just black & white 'x' person and briefcase with a tie? Having said that, we want to avoid any implication that all business people wear neckties, so we need to avoid any gender preference. Don't know if this is helpful, but thanks for working with us.
we like the integrative pieces coming together thing that's going on in #104, but we don't like the rainbow colors and we don't want a small "i" in the symbol. Can you do the same sort of thing in a color scheme such as #47 or #45. maybe try some other color schemes as well?
Absolutely, I didn't get back to work until this morning due to some travel issues... I've kinda been playing catch up all day - I'll have some new stuff over for you guys by tonight... thanks for showing an interest in my work.
we're really liking #196, but our only criticism is that the blocks spelling the "P" inside the symbol are a bit harsh or cold. can you try it with circular dots spelling the P instead of blocks? maybe also try it with different colored dots, other than black. for example, we like the orange ball inside the blue ovals of #263.
could you make the symbol out of people? it's hard to explain, but can you make the symbol represent the integration of people? right now it still looks like pixels or building blocks rather than people coming together.
not to knock the idea but it won't work by being integrated into what I've done here...
it looks like pixels because it was designed to convey pixels... because this is the type of correlation to a brand name that good logos make... just being honest and speaking from years of identity experience...
I think you guys may be over thinking what a logo should do for you... it can't explain everything - its simply the lynchpin on the wheel of the brand... its better to have a clean, simple, and modern logomark that plays well into the name and general concepts of what you do - technology, communication, coming together, teamwork, pixels plays well off the PIXL brand name, etc, the brand initial is in there as well which helps the logo resonate in the minds of your customers/clients and could one day help it to sit on its own... at some point your marketing team, your marketing materials, and your web presence will have to take over and do the rest of the job... in the end you could use a red dot, if marketed correctly it would be synonymous with PIXL...
look at the Nike symbol - has nothing to do with anything they are about - its just been marketed brilliantly... which is why the swoosh is so "popular" (I use that term loosely)... http://www.julieandcompany.com/new_ideas_swooshes.htm
