Can you work on making the flower looking more masculine? Maybe using some of the other colors listed in the comment section - making it more distinct? Maybe a bamboo green mixed with a gray?
We would still like to see other objects being plucked that can convey the same message. We are trying to get it to be more gender neutral. However, maybe we can get the message across with different color schemes. We look forward to your ideas!
Is it possible to make the pedal of the flower being plucked have a thumb print? The thumb / finger print lines showing in the pedal being pulled away?
I see your influence - to complex though. Lets work the flower - I think you were right when you said you pegged the idea! Can we look at some different colors?
VIDI entry # 165 is great but can you remove the upper half white highlight over the whole design? What we want is exactly what you did in entry #99 with rounded edges. The new rounded edges version seems lighter on the top and just waters down the design.
OK #175 is fantastic! But after seeing it I need to see one more design please:)
I see what you did here making the text wider than the image to catch the right pedal line and provide for cell padding around the whole image and if we pick this style, then this one is it.
However I think for the sake of trying to fill the useable space that Apple gives developers for the home screen icon (a perfect square we need to see a design that is just like #175 but the background film is scaled up to match the width of the text. The flower can be scaled to match if possible. Essentially the pedal being removed will align and follow the same right line as the film background without the pedal poking out to the right outside of the border of the film.
I know this is going to mess with the scale of the image but if you can best preserve the size of the flower and maintain the same negative spacing around the pedal that would be great.
Here is some helpful information about half way down the page regarding sizing and the process of creating an icon for the iPhone:
Entry #180 is a good start. We were envisioning a larger petal in perspective peeled up with the edge much larger. More of a 3D effect like it's bent up at a greater angle with a translucent thick edge that is hyper-real. Very dramatic.
After this version I think we will be able to make a decision. Thank you for your effforts:)
