What We Do
We are an iPhone application advertising company focused on delivering high quality video content from major producers and networks with never before seen targeted interactive advertising solutions. We allow users to learn additional information about products that they are viewing in video as well as purchase them. The thought process behind the name PickPockit comes from the physical action of reaching into something and pulling an item out without being intrusive and disturbing the object you are reaching into. Not the traditional thievery attached to pickpocketing.

Color Preferences
We like any number of these colors, please feel free to pick and choose the use and combination of them in your creations. White, Black, Silver, Cobalt Blue (#0047AB), Burnt Orange, Brick Red, Bamboo Green, Chocolate Brown and Steel Gray
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This logo will appear on the home screen of the iPhone. We welcome ALL ideas for our logo. Please take artistic liberties with the information contained in the brief regarding our company to create a stunning logo with your personal touch. We are searching for unique ideas that convey all of the attributes described in our brief. We value and wish to see your interpretations.

The logo should be distinctively shaped and look exciting as if in action with very simple shapes. When placed on a business card or piece of stationary the logo should need no special surroundings or background color, it should standalone. We are trying to stay away from cartoon looking designs. Thank you for taking to time to hear our creative thoughts!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

OK designers we have had a change of plans. Unfortunately we have to abandon the idea of the hand reaching toward the screen. We have discovered another company with a very similar logo. Our sincere apologies and thank you to the designers that ran with this idea.

As a reminder we are an iPhone application which enables the user to purchase products in the video they are watching. Our logo should speak to this notion with action and sophistication.

Entry #18 has the right colors and is the right direction if you choose to use text as your design focus. It appears to fit our logo on the iPhone home screen but could also be used as a background within our software. We prefer a pictoral or abstract mark.

Good luck and thank you!

#21 is heading more in the direction we would like to move in. Its looking more like a Pictoral / Abstract logo.

Designers I have noticed a lot of designs with a hand grabbing with tips of fingers. Can we play with the idea of touching a screen instead? Also The font in entry #17 is so far the most appealing.

Thanks!

We have some great wordmark style logos at this point. We would like to see more creative liberty with non-word mark approaches. The logo should remind you of making a purchase or getting new goods. Designers, let's see what you've got for the home stretch!

Designers, we are also looking for ideas with the other color combinations - we have listed them below, please feel free to explore your designs with these colors as well.

Also we are attempting to steer away from the Letterform Mark and Word Mark style and stay more true to Abstract and Pictoral Marks.

Thanks!

Good question Ape - the thought process behind the name PickPockit comes from the physical action of reaching into something and pulling an item out without being intrusive and disturbing the object you are reaching into. Not the traditional thievery attached to pickpocketing. Hope that helps - let us know if you need any other clarification.

Designers, we are liking the entries which use alternating contrast in bold type face for Pick - Pock - it...if you choose to do this then please place the bold on Pick and it not Pock. Hope that makes sense reference entry #98 for the correct way to place bold and non bold type face.

Please check your designs for the correct spelling of our company:) PickPockit. This is intentionally misspelled and is a play on words.

Thanks,
-PickPockit Team

Designers - keep in mind that our logo is going to be placed on the deck of the iphone. So please design logos that fill the space available for a widget on the iphone deck. Also, submit your final designs that you have been holding back as the logo auction is coming to an end.
