Hi Kickingbird,

Thanks for your first entries!

We like what you've done--good sense of style & balance, nice font choice--but ultimately it feels a bit cliche.

Is there a way to make this more about photography, rather than just color mixing? (Our app isn't really about working with color).

Thanks!

Hi Kickingbird,

I like that you're experimenting, and working towards what our app is actually about!

Some specific notes --

The polaroid imagery (#26, #27, #28, #29) is definitely on the right track, though the blank polaroid isn't quite as "catchy" as we'd like. I guess maybe there's just a little too much going on? Can you experiment with more sheets of printed photos somehow?

#31, #32 -- Doesn't really say much about the app and what it does.

#25 -- This is an interesting icon, but it's a bit too "cliipart" for us. Additionally, it makes it seem like it's a video-based app (since that gesture is more cinematic than photographic).

#45 & #46 - Although this looks great, we need to avoid a camera lens... it seems like 50% of the apps in the "photography" category have an icon similar to this. (Check out the app store "Photography" category and you'll see what I mean!). This link should take you there in iTunes:

Thanks,
Andrew

I think #50 heads in the right direction in terms of content, but the style isn't quite right. We need it to be more "Web 2.0" like #27

Thanks,
Andrew.
