Hi Florian,

Thakns for your first entries! We really like the design of #19/#20. It's nice & clean, and really "pops"--which is definitely something we're looking for (gotta stand out from the competition, right?).

We're wondering if you could take it another step somehow, to emphasize that the app takes "flat" digital photos and makes them look like they're actually printed on paper?

Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback. Here is another option with a flat logo where I tryed to make it to look like a photo by adding some "dots" .I hope that suffice and leads the viewer to the "dots per inch" idea.

Hi Florian,

The dots are interesting in theory, but they just take all the "punch" out of the original design. It's a lot stronger without it.

I wonder if there could be something inside the iris (in the center) that would help communicate what our app is all about?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your very fast feedback.
From yesterday I am tryng to find the best solution for the logo. Till now I have 4 new options for you, 1st is with the picture a litle curve at top and bottom, 2nd the picture have some kind of frame, 3rd have one flip corner and 4th looks like polaroid picture. Waiting for your reply.

Thanks
Florian

Hi Andrew
What do you think about this one with a drop of ink in the midle of the iris?

Hey Florian,

#53 is our favorite so far! I actually blurted out, out loud, "Now we're getting somehwere!" :)

The problem with it, though, is that Apple will crop the corners, making them round--which will remove the corner tabs! Unfortunately we have no control over this...

#52 is also great-- we like that the curve makes it seem like the design is on paper.

The ink drop in #56 & #57 isn't really working for us. Makes it seem like app is about a printer (like for business cards and letterhead)--rather than photographs--since photographs don't use ink.

Not sure what's going on with #55 -- it just looks like it's cropped weirdly.

So, having said all that... any way you can adapt #53 to make it work with rounded corners?

Thanks!

Hi Florian,

Thanks for getting us #59 so quickly. It's a reasonable solution to the corner problem, but it doesn't have the same "cool" factor as #53 somehow. I think the square corners look a bit better in general...

Would you mind putting together three other versions? I'm not sure if they'll work--but I think they should be quick & easy to do--so I hope you don't mind:

1. Take #53 and just shrink it down so it's on a rounded, gray field the way #52 is? (or perhaps put it on a rounded black field, against an overall light gray background?)

2 Make another version with #53, shrink it down as above, and also make the image "bend" like #52?

3. Apply that same "bend" effect to #59 ?

Thank you!

Hi Andrew,
As a response at your request I had a hard working time to finish the changes (small but dificult) at the 3 options as fast as posible and in a good quality.
So as falow: No1. "1. Take #53 and just shrink it down so it's on a rounded, gray field the way #52 is? (or perhaps put it on a rounded black field, against an overall light gray background?)" Florian

Dear Andrew
Since you add 5 more days for the deadline I thought you want to see also my logo with a frame around.

Hey Florian,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The border/frame around the icon helps, but we're realizing that it's better to be focusing more on the "paper" effect rather than the "frame" effect...since that's more what our app is about (though it will do both, in fact).

Thanks,
Andrew
