#1 - Elegant but must be readable with quick glance or at least identifiable icon.
#2 - Strong, firm, stable feel/look but also subtle and tranquil (zen-like); nothing too flashy.
#3 - Honest and aggressive.
Our Target Audience:
Small business owners. Personal injury persons. Family law / divorce persons.
Color Preferences
Primarily royal dark blue, gold, and black. Perhaps maroon/red color with wax seal idea (along with blue/gold/black or some combination).
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
No stereotypical legal stuff: gavel, weigh scales, pillars, etc. Connected symbol, icon, or mark is requested along with text of company name with “pllc” smaller. I like the look of 3D “depth” on some logos I’ve seen. Winning designer may be hired for variations based on main design for website concepts, business cards, etc. I like the idea of zen balancing rocks or something like that, but still sophisticated, BUT definitely open to various ideas. NEW IDEA in comments about a wax seal; perhaps the seal impression could use "PBW" and my slogan "Honest and Aggressive" and/or the Latin equivalent "veritas atque infensus" around "PBW" in a circle (one or the other; or both the English and Latin together).

We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#3 by AlexDsgn: good small "pllc"; eagle head idea I'd like to avoid as many attorneys are using it in their advertisement; icon can be a shape of some sort and not necessarily identifiable existing animal/plant/object - 3D visual; text of name a little more "royal" / old style font is preferred
#4 by JerukKeprok: Nice use of more antique font. Good attempt at icon but is there a way to include the "W" of the initials and be more 3D? I think I prefer the "pllc" to be lower case lettering to de-emphasize it. I like your use of a darker blue and more gold color and less yellow.
If your intent was to see the "W" sideways using the "B" humps, that might work but I had to really work to see it. Perhaps something more obvious.
#5 by wookasheen: I like the shadow under the circle and the use of a shape, but the "PBW" within the circle seems disorganized. I also would like to focus colors with mostly dark blue, some gold, and only a little black.
#6 #7 #8 by kib647: The large "PBW" is a nice idea being blended, but not as subtle and a little too bold / "in your face" feel I think. Looking for something more sophisticated / antique / royal - think more stuffy lawyer. Also looking for a symbol / icon / picture with some 3D visual effect to it perhaps interconnecting with "PBW" and the colors should be mostly dark blue, some gold, and minimal black.
GENERAL INFO: I've updated the "our ideas and additional information" section to add a request for 3D and I like the idea of zen rocks but not sure how that would work and still be sophisticated. Thanks.
#12 adn #13 by Alexdsgn: I'm looking for more than the name in different fonts, want a icon/symbol/mark that could, but does not need to, include the "PBW" and the full name more simple with more antique/copperplate type font (like the top two ranked) and possibly some shadow, reflection, or other simple effect. Thanks.
#14 by Alexdsn: I like the reflection, the font, the small "pllc," and the gold color. The icon is interesting and no strong feeling right now either way. I think the "Law Firm" should be de-emphasized by not being all capitals. I wonder if dark blue could be incorporated?
Yes, but its quite risky, I will try to see if I can find a shade that matched the feeling I want the logo to have. I wanted to ask you if I could give u my professional advice as far as the brand behind the logo goes and how that logo can sustain it. U will find my messages at the logo section when you click on any of my designs. Thanks for the feedback!
I've figured out how to click the sample and leave messages for particular designers and will try to do that now, unless there is a general request.
I'm also keeping in mind the use of the logo (with the designer's assistance) with business cards, letterhead, shirts emblem, banner ad, and other medium. You are more experienced than I, so your views are appreciated.
Tudor: thanks for the suggestion. Right now I'm trying to only look at white backgrounds to more easily compare different concepts. I also imagine it would make it less expensive and easier to have the logo on various mediums if the background were white, but I'm open to looking at options.
NEW IDEA: the circles and idea of being mideval gave me the idea of a wax seal with fancy impression- like long ago people used melted wax on the back of a letter and a stamp pressed into the wax to identify the sender. Perhaps the seal impression could use "PBW" and perhaps my slogan "Honest and Aggressive" and/or the Latin equivalent "veritas atque infensus" around "PBW" in a circle (one or the other; or both the English and Latin together). Just a thought, but still open to any ideas.
