What We Do
I provide a range of services (including: organizational change, process facilitation, education & training, design, communications, research, greenhouse gas management, development of vision, goals, and sustainability plans) to businesses, government agencies, and communities to help them move closer to true sustainability.

Color Preferences
In the sustainability space green is a pretty common color. While I'm not completely opposed to having a predominantly green logo/image I want to be sure designers are open to oranges, purples, blues, as well as the earth tones. I am, however, open to other ideas.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I will likely change the name of my business in the next few years to one that does not include my name once I have established something of a brand around my name and personal credibility. It would be ideal if my new logo could be more or less convertible to the new name.

Note that one of the unique skills I bring to a client is an ability to merge all of the different competencies and levels of knowledge or expertise on the topic of sustainability within an organization into an effective collaborative whole, achieving more compelling, long-term organizational outcomes. I'm also able to help groups think and act more up-stream in the cause and effect chain and thus helping them to avoid problems before they start and achieve better, more sustainable results.

Discussion

Client
Greetings good designers. A few comments to clarify my interests/needs.

While Paul Horton Consulting Group supports green building, wind power, solar, energy efficiency, etc.,, my firm takes a much broader look at opportunities for organizations to become more sustainable. The whole point is to help organizations optimize and accelerate sustainable development by introducing new mental models, ways of thinking and collaborating, new strategies and tools, etc. Ultimately we're about facilitating organizational and culture change and helping groups of people achieve greater results (not simply being a little better environmentally but rather moving closer to true sustainability). Often when I'm leading a workshop, at the beginning everyone has a different idea about what sustainability means (for some it's green building, for others it waste reduction or recycling, etc.) but by the end, everyone comes away with a shared understanding and a common set of tools to help them become smarter and more strategic. Many times individuals have the so-called "a ha" moments.

Hope this helps somewhat.
