Color Preferences
We're currently using maroon as our accent color, along with various shades of gray and taupe. We would like the logo to be usable in only 1 color also, so that it can be dropped onto complex maps and not interfere with all that's going on in the map.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We had considered a trendline or arrow of some sort, maybe trending diagonally upward from lower left to upper right, but that's as far as we had gotten. We're in the middle of a rebranding of sorts, and are open to ideas.

We want something that's simple instead of complex, as the logo will sometimes be printed very small and/or on a very busy map. We like the idea on one of these logos where the bars on the graph appear to be people, and we'd like to explore that look further. I think we prefer the graph, arrow, etc. to be in front of the text (to the left) instead of above. A lot of the logos looked space-age, like they would have worked for NASA, and we want to be sure that the arrows used are more often trendlines instead of arrows that quickly turn into rocket ships.

Logo Designer
Dear Contest Holder,
We are guiding our work here, on LogoTournament, after a strict set of rules and one of the rules clearly says:

"Please do not ask Designers to include elements from the designs of others. This includes unique font treatments, icons, shapes, and in some cases, layout of elements..."
https://logotournament.com/help/client/35

Since I`m the only one who introduced the chart bars as people (and this concept wasn`t in your brief), this concept is not fair game for everyone. Therefore, my fellow designers know they can`t use this concept.

Thank you for understanding and respecting the rules.

We're leaning toward the first option, but something about it makes the graphic feel like it doesn't associate with the word. We have been playing (here in the office) with putting a fine line of a circle around the people and the arrow, but with the circle stopping below the writing and above the arrow, so as to not interfere with that. (I wish I could figure out how to send a screen cap of what we've played with here.) Can we have a look at something like that?
