Discussion

#103 I like this but the red graphic doesn't have any relevance to our business.

I would like to see the red graphic represent a Knights helmet in an abstract way.

Maybe this could go behind the text (not just above it?)

Thanks

Hello, and thank you for your feedback.

#103 was an attempt to simplify my earlier entry, #98, which itself was an attempt to create an abstract knights helmet. Maybe it would work better if I reverted to the #98 graphic and placed it behind the text, as you suggest?

I'll experiment with some ideas and post a little later in the day.

Steve

I know it's a little off-brief, but I was working on #104 during the 'Open' phase of your contest and ran out of time.

It's an image that is associated with both knights and construction.

Is this a theme you like and might be interested in exploring further?

#107 I really like the composition of this one. I kike the watermark type image behin the text. Thanks

My only comment is that I'm not really getting the Knights helmet for the graphic (looks a little more tribal?) I think it has too many curves. Graphic is to look serious (not cartoonish)

If you have a chance, I would love to see some alternative helmet graphics that are a little more recognisable.

Thanks

#103, #107, #108 perhaps a comb (ie Mohawk style brush) on the top of the helmet would make it more instantly recognisable also.

I take your point about too many curves - I've straightened the edges and added 'cheek guards' and the icon certainly has a very different feel.

I'll experiment further with ways to incorporate a brush on top, though this might not be as effective head-on as it might be from the side.

#116 and #117 have no brushes, but they would be easy to add if you prefer this 'angrier' style of helmet (compare #117 with #112)

It's a little after midnight here and I have to log off. I'm out all day tomorrow from around 9am, which means I'll miss the last couple of hours of your contest. I'll try and log on before I leave - If you have any other ideas you would like me to experiment with, please let me know and I'll try and work on them at that time.

entry #114

Could you please add a nose piece to the helmet graphic and increase the size of the comb on top a little (and perhaps make this more rectangular rather than pointed)

Your prompt response would be appreciated as we need to select a winner very shortly.

Thanks and regards

Hello,

At this stage of the contest, only the #1 ranked designer can submit revisions. The only way I (or any other designer) can submit revisions is if you temporarily promote me to #1.

I will make the changes requested so that I am ready to upload them in the event you're able to reshuffle the ranking.

Best regards,

Steve

The new entries are #137, #138, #139 and #140. Each has a slightly different take on the nose piece and comb, with #140 showing a closed-face option.

Please let me know if you would like me to experiment further.

Thanks Steve

I really like #137 but please add the comb (brush) from #140.

I've added #141 and #142.

#141 is #137 with the comb from #140 with no further edits.

#142 is the same, but I've adjusted the width of the nose piece to match the comb for internal consistency.
