Our Ideas & Additional Information
The name 'Paladin' comes from a group of medieval knights. They were renowned for their integrity and moral values. We believe that an abstracted knights helmet could be a powerful image (refer the sketches attached). The logo should be very stylised, minimalist, simple, edgy & modern (not cartoony!). Logo must incorporate the words 'paladin projects' (I prefer lower case, maybe with the words condensed and with the extensions on the 'L's' and 'P's' and 'D's etc exaggerated in length. The logo must not dominate the words too much (ie the words must be able to be read). Use the nominated highlight color sparingly for impact.

Discussion

Hi all.

I would like to see the logo in a silver/grey color so it looks metallic (in some logos it looks more like a motorcycle helmet)

I like the use of shadows/airbrush to show the helmet as a 3-D element.

I would like to see the logo and the words integrated together in the graphic (not like 2 separate things put together). I don't like it when there a helmet simply centered over the words. Perhaps the graphic could wrap around the words somehow so that the 2 are more integrated?

I'm interested in graphics of the helmet both side on and front on (either could be ok). The helmet graphic should look serious, sinister and imposing (not cartoonish!)

The helmet may have a few vents/holes/slots in it to make it more visually interesting?

I like options where the helmet graphic makes a letter 'P' as shown in some of my sketches but this is not compulsory.

I believe that the broom bristles on the top of the helmet is a good opportunity to add a small impact color in contrast the the rest of the logo which might be mainly black/grey/silver.

I would like to see more abstract graphics for the helmet (ie less literal). Refer to my logo attempt where it is not a full helmet, but just a few graphic elements/shapes which 'suggest' a helmet.

I would like to see some options with the word 'paladin' in lower case letters (NOT ALL CAPITALS). I think the word in lower case could have the vertical lines of the L's, P's, J's, T's etc exaggerated to make the word more visually interesting. Take a look at a few of my sketches which of lower case lettering for the word 'paladin'.

The name of the company in 'paladin projects' (not 'paladin project')

Thanks for the logos so far
