What We Do
P6R Inc. creates innovative development tools and libraries that allow other software developers to deliver higher quality products faster.

Color Preferences
This is not an established brand and so we are open to suggestions on color schemes. We would like to use this logo on both light an dark backgrounds.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
P6R stands for Project 6 Research. While I don't think that we want that incorporated into the logo, I though is was important to know what the letters stand for and that research was a part of what we do.

We are open to all suggestions and are looking to the designers to help us zero in on an identity.

Previously we've had issues with people confusing the six in P6R with the letter G, so we would like to make sure that it is clearly a six in the logo.

We look forward to your submissions and will provide prompt feedback.

Hello designers. After going through them, I think we would like to see more graphics elements incorporated (#23 did this). While it's a not a requirement, we want to explore it. We also are leaning towards clean "high tech" and/or "high performance" fonts styles. More color schemes would be helpful as well.

Thanks for all your submissions!

I though I'd provide a little more background on the software tools and libraries that our company provides. Maybe you will find it helpful.

Our products are targeted at other software developers. Many of them will use our software as a foundation on which to write their own applications. We have a lot of network oriented functionality in our software as well and it is designed to run on multiple processors (maybe too much detail? too technical?). Hopefully it will help to spark ideas.

Thanks for all your submissions!

Designers please let me know if I am doing the ranking properly. At this point I am trying to rank concepts, and placing the modified versions of those concepts lower down in the ranking. Any tips on how better to do this part would be appreciated.

Hi Jsusoy. Normal LT procedure is that the top ranked designs (ie. 1st, 2nd, etc) are the designs that you have more interest in. For us designers, we follow your top choices, and also any feedback in message-form to gather an idea of your thought process and what you are aiming for. Lower ranked designs are ones that you like, and don't want to dismiss just yet. Not Interested means that you have dismissed this idea. Hope this is helpful. :-)

I have one more question. Why do designers withdraw logos? I just want to make sure it's not caused by something I'm doing (or not doing)!

Thanks

It happens quite a lot. Some of the reasons designers do this are,

made a mistake
think your not interested
embarrassed because it looks no good
or want to use an element of the design in another contest (we can only use our ideas once so that all logos being produced are unique)

In your situation I wouldn't worry as your providing good feedback and rankings. This contest will get a lot more good designs in the next few days IMO.

Good luck!

After talking to people here, we would be looking for color 3D and flat, as well as black & white flat versions of the final logo. Is that reasonable to ask for?

Thanks

We have come to the conclusion, after having seen several attempts at combining the letters P6R with overlays, that the concept is right for us. So moving forwards please concentrate your submissions on other concepts. Thanks!

I meant the concept is NOT right for us! Sorry about that.
