I like #11 alot, can you group the "uter limits Diesel Performance" and enlarge them all together? Keep the "O" tachometer the same. Also, after you do that, try making "DIESEL PERFORMANCE" horizontal, not curved, just normal typography. Maybe even a little larger. The "Diesel" aspect of our client's business is pretty important.
#40 is better. I liker the bigger "UTER LIMITS" I'd like the "DIESEL PERFORMANCE" better if it sat on the same baseline, and was easier to read. Try larger, even if it sticks out, and maybe try a version with it stacked, so it can be larger. "Diesel Performance" is the whole reason they are in business. (I say "they" because I am the Creative Director at their ad agency.)
It's currently 1.20am here OuterLimits. I'm currently being threatened with being taken to logocourt by Beingjustcreative for using his concept of a tachometer in the design. I say I'm not because i think a tachometer in a diesel performance shop logo is fair game. Also mine is executed in an O. But not looking good, I may have to withdraw my entries, OuterLimits. Beingjustcreative kindly offered to take 50% of the prize and he'd turn a blind eye to my entries having the tachometer, I told him no thanks.
Brown_Cow, could you switch it to a gas gauge? A really important thing to the diesel truck customers of Outer Limit, is getting better fuel mileage. It was explained to me that they drive 200,000 miles per year, and just a small percentage increase in fuel economy is HUGE.
No, I reckon he'd still go after me for using a gauge. What I could do is re-submit mine without the tacho, just as an O only, then if you choose mine as the winner I can then give you the one with the tacho after the contest is over. What do you think?.
I really like this solution (#50). I'm still a little concerned that if they try to use it to embroider shirts (which they mentioned they probably will), some of the letters might be a little small, and would plug up.
Can you try one more option with the "UTER LIMITS DIESEL PERFORMANCE" larger? Keep the "O" the same size.
