Orion UnitedLogo Design Contest

Thanks for the early entries. We like the red and yellow treatment of the ones we have ranked, and where the font is both classy and dynamic. We'd love to see how a bold, italic font works out. All the current entries are upright and a little rigid. Have a look at Orion's Belt in the Orion Constellation and you'll see it has three star in a row, tilting a little upwards, with the third star bent upwards. Can we see some examples incorporating this? Thanks!

Thanks for the entries everyone. The concepts which we really like are where the designers have found a way to be both dynamic and classy by bringing in curves or sparkle into the design while keeping with serif fonts. When we are looking at the logos we are thinking of them being used on everything from letterhead / website / name badges at events and large backdrops at conferences - so the winning design needs to be very scalable - simple and recognisable when small and inspiring when large

We have a meeting at 11am Sydney time on Wednesday (tomorrow) to make a final decision on the winning entry - so even though we've extended the competition by two days (LT minimum extension) it's likely that tomorrow we will determine the winner. Any final entries please submit before then thank you. Thanks everyone - this is the first time we've used LT and the quality of entries is really impressive.
