Hello! The theory that stands behind this design is the following: Less is more. I consider this concept to be intelligent and fresh. Hope to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
This is intelligent and fresh Alex! We really like the exclamation point in the "i"! The reversed backgrounds won't work for our printing - but your number 55 is very crisp. We seem to like seeing the logo bug - got anything you'd put in front of this - or do you believe we stand best with just our name? Thanks so much - great fun and you are on the same page as we are in theories! Well done!
Well to be honest I think in this case you've got the edge with just the name and what brand values it transmits. I would say at this point this is memorable on its own. Of course the numan nature is to want a symbol associated, and you will see if I come up with something at the end of my analysis. Thanks so much for your feedback and I hope I can help you.
Thanks for hearing us. Your #81 really struck a chord with some of us this morning, love the font you are using in this one, that clipped e on the end really sends a message! As well, get what you are going for in #18 with putting the letters for on literally on the word pointe but it's feeling too smooshed - not sure if transparency would help out or just separating them more. Number 80 is one we liked as well, it's the first time we've not seen the P capitalized for OnPointe, so it's causing consternation and discussion. big grin We will be seeing our logo a great deal in grey scale on workbooks and we think all your applications work well for those. Any additional fine tuning or even new thots are welcomed. You have our eye!
U can see a subtle reproduction of the 'e' in the shape of a compass, while maintaining the concept for the inversed 'i' (which is not only an exclamation, but supports the idea that the 'i' is ON POINT instead of the point being on the i. Hope u like my latest designs.
Alex - we love your fonts, we love your upside i, the shortened e - the logo bug on 222 is not it - the compasses are either "too" sharp or "too" clock or medical symbol like. Go out of the box, go wild, have fun, just keep the fonts and the i, e pieces. Excited to see what's next.
One more thing I wanted to share with you. My opinion is that the pictogram doesn't always have to be corelated with what the text says, but rather what the text conveys. It is instinctual to address this project in that manner, everybody trying to create an image from the company name. What remains in people's minds and hearts is the brand, and the logo sustains the brand through the connection that is made between the name of the company and what or how it does what it does (which is depicted in the pictogram more than often). That is what I tried to explain with my first submission, that a "smart" company should avoid these types of connections which are to expect and predictable. Hope you guys get what I meant and my english is not too bad. Thank you so much!
Alex - thank you - after much discussion with potential and current clients, I keep hearing that your number 147 is it. Can you show us several other color schemes? I love the charcoal but the orange is rather trendy - your thoughts most welcome. Your english is excellent - your graphics are even better! Smile. Spasiba!
Hello again! Thank you for the good words. It may work better with the blue and a neutral or less saturated colour. I will submit new variations shortly. Also, the idea with the pointilism is good, but there must not be any more going on in the logo, or it will feel crowded I guess. And with your company offering training and guidance, the one point idea could not be well expressed. It's just tricky I guess, but I will try it out. And, to eliminate any confusion, I'm not Russian. In Romania we speak Romanian. So....MULTUMESC! (thank you)
271 seems to strike a chord with the difference on the i... getting alot of feedback from men that they don't much care for the upside down i being an exclamation mark - we get it, they clients aren't - your thots most welcome on this. Also, we are wondering about OnPointe as we initially saw it and now everyone has us as onpointe - not sure what's up with that. The blue and the charcoal seem classic and clean - simple is better - your thots and feedback most welcome. Thank YOU!
Yes, actually the idea of the exclamation mark wasn't the one I started with as I stated in one of my earlier posts. I will submit different variations with the 'i' upside down but not leveled with the rest of the text, so that it doesn't look like an exclamation mark, one without the 'i' upside down and a variation using OnPointe. My opinion is that a lot of designers had seen the all small caps concepts in the first places and started to build on that. Also, the OnPointe doesn't quite put the accent on the 'o', 'n' and 'e' (one) and creates the image of two words cuz of the capital letters (On and Pointe instead of One Point). Simpler is better especially because it gives you the freedom to work with the layouts surrounding the logo (e.g. on bussines cards, website etc.). Thank you for the feedback
Unfortunately due to some constant herrasing by a designer on this forum I was forced to remove my latest entries because they supossedly were similar to God knows what design on another forsaken website. I've submitting another concept which symbolizez two human profiles united by a single point of view or way of thinkin. If you guys would consider this concept as a good one and keep me in the race, I would gladly make changes to it, making it even simpler or overall to your liking. I've spent a lot of time on this project and hope that some people's negative interests won't affect my entries. Anyway, thank you for listening and if there's anything I can do for you, let me know!
Alex, thank you for telling us what is going on within the entries being withdrawn - we too put a lot of time in to what we had ranked number one, with about 20 of our clients inputs and now it's gone. Had you not told us why, we would never have known. Thank you and I am as sorry for you as I am for our team!! Onward we go towards our goal of a great logo and brand beginning hey? Thank you for coming along with us!
The current logo bugs feel too 'thick' and not as crisp as the one that was forcibly removed from the site. Not sure what you can do with that, but we are still willing to work with you and give you feedback.
Alex - boy what an ordeal some days hey? Liking the thinness of 338 - maybe a titch smaller and could you swap the green with some kind of a copper color? Something just landed about the color copper that might prove beneficial. Thanks so much for all your re-working and coming up with new thots ever still!
Alex - the team really doesn't care for the logo bug BUT we love the font and the upside down I piece.. Can you work on the simplicity of any logo bug you see fit - we want you to be in the running. Also, we are moving towards the navy in the blues and the charcoal darker grays.
