Hi everyone... thank you so much for all your hard work. A couple of thoughts:

We're getting a lot of submissions in the very bright, almost primary colors. We do like color, but we are concerned that this palette suggests a children-related organization, which we are not. We'd really like to see some submission with a more "sophisticated" group of colors.

Also, icons that suggest any particular craft are somewhat problematic. Within the organization, we have crafters and artisans representing many crafts/media... we need an icon that can represent ALL crafts, and not highlight any particular crafts..

Again, thank you so much -- as always, I am awed by how designers meet creative challenges.

Hi everyone... again, thank you so much for your submissions.

We have put in a request to extend the contest for 3 more days, in order to give you time over the weekend to submit additional designs.

We've re-ranked them... the top five or so are closer to the direction we'd like to go. Also, please consider submitting additional color palettes for those.

We would like to see additional icons, recognizing that it is a challenge to create something that represents all crafts. But we have confidence in the incredible level of talent we're seeing, and are sure that you'll find a way to communicate that.

You are all awesome... keep up the great work!

I'm so glad we decided to extend the contest -- it's given designers extra time, and we're seeing many really nice concepts.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for their work on this project. It's very exciting for us, and the range of creativity is incredible.

Our Publicity Committee has selected the top 5 (they are shown in the rankings), and asked the appropriate designers for a few minor refinements.

Tomorrow, we will show the entire membership of the NVHG these top five, and will vote to select their favorite.

We should have the results back by the weekend, at which time we will move to complete all the steps in the contest.

Hi Everyone...

Thank you so much for your continued submissions. The vote for our new logo will end this evening (4/19). Right now, it looks like there may be a runoff between 2 of the logos, but we don't know for sure.

As soon as all the results are in, I will let everyone know by posting a comment here.

Again, thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with the NVHG.
