Re: # 68 -- I very much like the typeface change, I think it makes the logo even stronger.
I like the shadows and gradients in the text and in the new icon, but I think that will be a problem for printing a lot of things. For our purposes, I think the simpler icon will work better.
Can you show us an entry with the simpler icon as used in 55, but with the bold sans serif text?
Hi Emily Im glad you like my design, the new variation are ready for you, also a new design #73 and #72 ( Is a hand into a tree, particular design ). For anything let me know,
We like the new tree concept as well #72, although we think the tree needs to be a little less complex -- maybe fewer branches? At the moment, it seems to suggest that we work with plants in some way -- it needs to be a little more "universal" to convey arts and crafts.
And we still like #77, but need to see the text without the gradient. Gradients won't work for a lot of our printing purposes.
I really do appreciate all the work that you're putting into this!
One of our group members suggested more secondary colors, as opposed to primary colors. Like teals, golds, burgundy, fuschia -- maybe earthtones. Still bright, just not so "red, yellow, blue."
I hope that makes sense... and thank you so much for your efforts!
Your #107 is still the champ! You're in our top 5.
We would like to see a few more refinements -- - Can the letters "NVHG" be the same color as the dark blue in the icon? - Can you make the "Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild" a little darker gray? - Can you tighten up the logo, e.g., make the icon and the rule a little closer to the type? Also, the rule should probably be the same height as the icon. Eventually, we'll need to see the logo in black and white.
Tomorrow afternoon, we'll be sending the top five logos out to the entire membership of our organization for voting.
Thank you so much! I genuinely appreciate all of your work!
