North Texas Chimney & HearthLogo Design Contest

We have decided we like the use of the state of Texas shape, with smoke coming out of the panhandle. This is not an original concept and we would like to see more entries using this concept. A company around here that is no longer in business had something like it, although theirs was somewhat cheesy and not well done.

We are looking for an iconic logo that will represent us and visually associate the name of our company with the logo. Please feel free to use some reds and yellows (other fire colors) in the design, as well. Also, keep in mind that the logo will need to stand out against a black or gray background (shirts). And keep in mind what the logo would look like rolling around town on the side of a service van.

We are still very open to the idea of a chimney sweep character in the use of the design -- something like, and this was our original thought, a johnny walker-like guy with top hat. We would love to see ideas with the texas shape and the chimney sweep. They could be apart or together in the design...your creativity is encouraged!

A word about the font and name in the logo: It is very important that "Chimney & Hearth" as visible as "North Texas".so that our customers can see what we do.
