#48 Nice simple, clean yet recognisable design. I also think it captures the 'tech savvy' aspect of the contemporary company director. How do you think the logo will perform in the LinkedIn groups environment? Will it be legible in the small resolution and will it 'stand out in the crowd'? I am interested in your thoughts because I really like the concept of this design.
#42 and #43 Bot of these designs capture the iconic requirements of a 'button' that will be easily recognisable in the clutter of LinkedIn groups. I am unsure if they capture 'company directorship' for me? Although they have immediate recognition, they conjure up an industrial feel for me rather than 'company directorship'. I know that this is the subjective part of the design processs, so it is hard (impossible) to quantify and measure. I think that they would be excellent designs for a different context, but they do not create the right response for me when I think of company directors. I will sit on that thought for another day and make my mind up tomorrow ;-)
#48. Is there anything that you could do to slightly privilege the 'n' and the 'd'? Maybe just bolden a smidgeon? I have looked at this design in the context of the LinkedIn groups and it could (possibly?) get a little lost although I do not want to lose any of the original elements of the design because I think it is nice and clean and captures what I want. A 'slightly' bolder 'n' and 'd' could help and then could be used late as a neat subset of the logo.. What do you think?
Here your new logo with changes made. This is nice clean, modern and easy to read. And yes you could use the n & d as an icon separately if you so wished.
I'll leaving tomorrow lunchtime for a couple of days, I'll check back in Sunday night, if you still want my design I'm happy to make any changes and will also add any more thoughts before then.
#65 is very cool! I like the way that it appears as a 'button' which is useful in the cluttered context of the LinkedIn group icons. This is a great variation of your earlier concept and realistically I can see both working in different contexts : ie #54 and #55 in print, t-shirts, mugs etc... and #65 as the 'power button' on the LinkedIn group. Thank you very much for coming up with this option. It has given me a lot more choice and in fact has redefined the original brief somewhat. Many thanks for your great work. Michael
I thinks the dots should be plain, makes for ease of printing too. let me know what you think? Anyway I'm off for a couple of days. There will be a flood of new entries coming in for you now. I hope mine stands up, I'll be checking back in, in anticipation on Sunday. cheers Julian
