New Bern Civic TheatreLogo Design Contest

We are a civic theatre in an historic theatre building. Our audience is a metro area of about 100,000. The city of New Bern, NC is arty with a broad demographic. Hoping to rebrand with a more edgy feel that will appeal to ages 25-60. I've placed new samples in the attachments and given new style inspiration samples. I also put some self made samples in as an attachment. I like these as well but don't know how to make them "finished" logo quality. You're welcome to clean them up and offer for ranking. Thank you!

Orange, yellow/gold, brick reds, with strong black contrast.

My board of directors request that New Bern Civic Theatre the logo. They want to lose the graphic or facade architecture idea. The most important word in the logo should be CIVIC. I put in the Style inspiration samples the Hard Rain logo and I love the use of a human figure as the i letter in that sample. It's what we do, put people and stories in the spotlight. Because of the letter shape around the i's in CIVIC maybe one could look like a figure in the spot light, sort of like the rain idea. I'm very sorry to ask you to put any more time into this project. I like your work thus far, but I need to offer my board some other options. Thank you.
