Our Ideas & Additional Information
The company that owns the yacht is called Quasar Expeditions (www.quasarex.com). But when it started in 1986, it was called Quasar Nautica. The yacht's name is meant to honor the trajectory of the company, hence the name 'Nautica Q'.
We want the name of the yacht (Nautica Q) and the logo to be one, it must therefore be simple and clean.
Logo must be elegant. Easy to cast in polished aluminum for the name on the side of the ship, as well as stamped on t-shirts, embroidered on caps, etc.
We would like the logo to have an element of Galapagos in it. I have uploaded some ideas which include a Galapagos tortoise silhouette (the most iconic animal of the islands), as well as a map of Galapagos (the shape and layout of the islands are very distinctive). You don't have to use any of these, but they are just ideas.
Feel free to use any element that you wish for Galapagos to be part of the logo.
I have also attached the original company logo for Quasar Nautica in 1986 in case you want to use it (or parts of it) to be part of the yacht's name & logo.
