Here is my first version. I wanted the design to appear solid and serious. :)

This conveys a sense of seriousness yet is still a little lively. The squares can imply a sense of pieces coming together like our members in coalition. Would like to see it with different font on the full name section. Have some concerns about lack of contrast especially because we have folks with low vision that will be viewing our materials either online or in print. While we like this and the treatment is consistent with other Washington organizations logos, we remain interested in the possibility of an image -- abstract or not -- included in the logo. But this is our favorite so far.

The same comments for entry #4 can be applied to entry #5 although less sure about how the difference in overall size between the letter block and the text works. This might especially be true when the logo is reduced in size.

I would be interested in seeing entry #4 with the "for" reduced in size and maybe overlay the other text so that it is more compressed overall. Also think the colors may need to jump out more when placed in the header of our website.

I switched colors on two of the boxes so that all colors are reversed. I also added a mild outline on the individual letters to add a little more contrast. I changed the font to something a little more compressed and moved the "for" out of the way so that the text is more balanced. Lastly, I condensed the width of the letters and boxes to better match the width of the title text. This balances out the entire logo as a whole. :)
