What We Do
We operate the number one rated running specialty store in the United States, specializing in running and triathlon shoes, apparel, accessories and nutrition.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I own a running specialty retail store called Naperville Running Company. We sell running shoes and accessories and have a racing team that competes in various road races and triathlons. The website for the store is runningcompany.com. We are located in Naperville, IL and were just named the #1 running store in the United States this past week. This is a tremendous honor for us and gives our store an incredible amount of recognition. We are looking for a new logo for our store. We will use this for the various media in which our logo appears and also to put on our racing gear. The design should work on our racing tank tops but also be able to be transformed to fit on a variety of different pieces of clothing such as sports bra tops, jackets, etc - and of course be used for all other business related advertising, our website, letterhead, business cards, television advertising.
We are looking for something very unique and edgy that will stand out in a crowd.
Feel free to include our "running dude" that is on our existing logo or go in an entirely different direction (see our website for the current logo). Feel free to use the abbreviated "Naperville Running Co.", that's what we've been using for 7 of the last 9 years. Or, if you want, use the full "Naperville Running Company."
We would also like to see a variation on the logo you create that just uses the letters, N R C (which stand for Naperville Running Co.) in a gothic style font (tattoo-like). This would be for the front of our racing tanks. "Racing" or "Racing Team" or "Naperville Running Co Racing Team" can also be on it somewhere depending on space and design. We would like designs for both the front as well as the back please. We are asking for this because Naperville Running Co. is a pretty long name and can be hard to fit on the front of a racing tank top and still be visible. One of the ideas was to have the N and R next to each other and the C centered just below or half way down the N and R. Many people wouldn't know what it meant, but over time, if the design is cool enough, it will build a following.
I really like the "web 2.0" version of logos that have a shiny / glassy look to the logo, but it still has to transfer over to simple screen printing.
