Thanks very much for your entry - we appreciate your time and effort. Some feedback for you
#3 - We were intrigued by the logo, and found it interesting and different. However we found it too busy/cluttered. The driven golf ball idea was interesting, but the layout seemed to be a mini-golf hole (as opposed to a real golf hole). The blue highlighting was a nice touch. Though the serif fonts seem to work in this instance, we tend to prefer sans serif fonts.
We're leaving detailed comments for each entry. If you can't see the others and want to, let us know and we'll post them here.
This is a redo of the previous, more simplified graphic design. I made the colors a bit subtler, to be less busy, replaced the font with a sans-serif font, and made the course more random, more "realistic" rather than looking like a mini golf course. I also move the flying ball to coincide more with the text.
A simplified version of the hole idea, much more subtle, using just color to reference the idea of a hole. reflection in blue to reference water traps.
Eliot - thanks for your entry - a significant improvement! Much simplier and subtle. We showed your design to some people and the feedback that we got was that the ball did not look like an "o", but rather broke up the name so that it looked like two words "MYSC" and "RECARD". We're not sure how to fix that, but wanted to share that with you. As well, we left some ideas for the other top designs like yourself - you may wish to review and see if you can work some into your design. Thanks for your entries! -Jack
Thanks for your entry. We do like your font, the color scheme is nice, and your combination of upper/lower case is our favorite. We wouldn't change a think with that. But we're not sure what to say about the ball, as it looks a bit too much like a comet. If there is some improvement you can make to the icon, we think this would definitely be a contender. - Thanks again for your hard work with this, Jack
Okay, so now we've lost the comet look, and lo and behold, something that was hovering at the back of my mind showed up: the ball is now using the "Y" as a tee. Simple, clean, and says golf.
