Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:
~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation. ~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered. ~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see. ~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested" ~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation. ~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work. ~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.
Thanks for the entries! I really appreciate your work. As I look these over, here are a few thoughts that come to mind: - I like the shape of #2, #4 and #5. The square-ish shape works for me. Though #1 and #3 have a pretty decent web2.0 look, the length vs height dimensions are prohibitive. -#4 and #5 are going in the right direction for sure, but I would like to see some other colors and possibly some other fonts. Play with these a little, if you would please. -#2 is sort of working for me. Can we try that one with some variation on the shapes and the colors?
I think I was too strong on the green theme in my description. These logos are certainly capturing that, but at the cost of the service theme. I'll make some adjustments to my description, and I would love to see some ideas that capture the professional, safe, polite service technician.
Maybe this will help too, imagine a clean cut, well dressed plumber comes to your home to fix something. He's well groomed, odor-free, and very polite. He's wearing a white, collared shirt with a professional looking company logo on the lapel. That's the logo I'm looking for!
I don't like the color in this one, but I like the team look. This artist also has a bunch of the same person in white, in different configurations. Another option would be to have a single person icon, without color, that represents the professional technician. Perhaps shaking hands with a customer, perhaps confidently holding a home in his hand.
I would like to see an image like that, along side #2 font style and size.
Thanks for #30 and #32! I am settled on that font style. That works. I would like to see some color variations, maybe blue or green for "My" and "Company" and orange for "Service". That can happen later, but for now, I really want to get some options on the image next to the name.
In #30 and #32, the star logo is looking good, but I don't know if it's exactly what I want. As I said in an earlier post, I would like to see a rendition of a 3D cartoon person (example below) as the logo. In the example below, he's kneeling over a house with a magnifying glass. Instead of that, I would like an all-white 3D figure like that with one hand confidently on his hip, and a small house in the other hand.
Listen folks, I'm away from the office this week, and that's slowing the amount of attention I'm able to give this. I felt that I needed an extension of a couple of days.
