Color Preferences
Now that we're part of the way into the contest, I would like to open it up to whatever colors the designers want to play around with. I am not wed to any particular color at this stage.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Possible images - a document that looks like a resume,
a laptop, a standardized test form, a desktop.
Absolutely does not have to be any of these. I was just brainstorming work-related symbols that are not exclusively masculine.
But it doesn't have to be an image at all. It could be something more abstract, but it should include the three words My Career Doc. Including the tag line is optional. Maybe present one version with it and one without it.

Also, I would be interested to see something where the whole logo is inside a circle or other shape.

Thanks for your efforts so far. Okay, maybe the stethoscope idea wasn't such a good one because it's just too medical... What can be done with the words My Career Doc and a document that has some "text", but nothing actually readable except, possibly, the word "resume"?

#2 - Can you explain what the red on the bottom of the letter y in "my" represents?

Although I have male clients, I am a woman, so I'd rather not associate the career idea with masculine symbols like ties or briefcases. But a laptop, for example, would be good image, not specific to one gender.

Now that we have some variety (thanks to all of you), I see that I am drawn to the more bold and clean looks. I would also like to drop the stethoscope/medical idea. How about a laptop, maybe with a stylized document on its screen, as an image to replace the stethoscope?

#18 - Really like that font.! Can we see something without the stethoscope and white coat?

#19 and #21 - you really nailed the color blue I had in mind

#10 - I like the laptop a lot but I'd like to see it with a different color (like the blue in #19) and without the stethoscope on the screen. Maybe a document on the screen?

#12 I like that the word "doc" appears on the document. That's just the play on words I had in mind!

#31 Good color and much better without the stethoscope. Can you make the picture on the screen look like a resume-type document?

#34 an #35 Can you change the word on the document from CV to resume? I realize that it's more letters, so you might have to enlarge the size of the document.

To all - Just to open up the creativity, what can you think of that doesn't have a recognizable image at all? (for example, no document an no computer). It could be something more abstract, but it should include the three words My Career Doc.

Including the tag line is optional. Maybe present one version with it and one without it.

Also, I would be interested to see something where the whole logo is inside a circle or other shape.

Many of the late entries (including the current #1 entry) submitted towards the end of this contest have no integrity. The leading design beginning with #36 -#110 was developed originally with little direction from the contest holder. Any slight variation (composition, font, colors, etc.) is flat out stealing. I certainly wouldn't enter a contest late and merely copy the winning design to steal the contest. If this is the type of "collaboration" I can expect from this website to see in the future I'll finish my current contests and leave.
