I have two design concepts for you in monochromatic appearance (#113, #115). Monochromatic/stamp logos are usualy used for store fronts and for printing applications, with printing costs reduced from 30 to even 50%, depending on country.
On versions #114 and #116, you have that washed out/ grungy versions, and you can tell how front store logo might look if carved out on wooden planks!
Hope you'll like my designs, and feel free to suggest improvements, if felt needed! Thanks!
...while I'm still on this contest, just a few hopefully useful branding pointers.
I realize you might prefer more horizontal layout of design for practical reasons, but my suggestion would be entry #115, #116,...it still has more of horizontal layout, but visual impact of centralized design is much stronger, than with versions, where graphic part is placed on the side. This is so called "target design",...it is usualy used for "extracting" specific product on competitive space of the store shelves, but also for advertising of pubs, alcohol stores, coffee shops, etc.
Although new at LogoTournament, I do have some 15 years of exerience in branding. Hope this little analysis was helpful! Cheers!
Thank you for your feedback, and thoughts! I understand what you are saying- I do have to say we prefer your #'s 113 & 114 to 115 & 116, leaving the practicality and visual impact out of it . We are thinking about everything, and will be updating the rankings one more time hopefully before the end of the submission phase.
Just trying to be constructive! Glad to hear that you're alredy thinking about all these things,...from personal experience, not many people pay attention to these important details! Hope to hear from you again!
