I basically tried to fit this one to exactly what you requested, and I depicted a monolith in front of the sun, with a green hue to follow the energy efficiency theme. If there's any changes you'd like me to make I'd be more than happy to do so! Any criticism is greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Hello. I hope you like my entry. I tried to include the color schemes you requested as well as the tribal style rays in the sun. I created my own rays as to not plagiarize the artwork you provided. Any criticism is much appreciated and if there's anything you'd like me to change I will do so promptly!

Best regards,

Ryan

Clean, Simple and elegant. I could easily see this on a t-shirt as an eye catching design.

I like the use of colors, font and even the whitespace.

However I need a a corporate logo that will be placed at the top of a letter head, professional web page or b-card.

I placed the category of construction for business only because they did not have a more complex design or systems engineering type heading. My service is offering engineering services and complex system design and installation.

Keep on churning on something along this line... maybe we could can find something that will work out.

I tried to make the sun's rays more uniform, so it would look more professional, and I used a more subdued color for the obelisk. I also tried to incorporate a flat monolith, putting the sun on top of it. Let me know if you think the one with the blue obelisk needs more green. Thanks for the comments I really appreciate it!

I really like 33 and 34. I will comment on these separately.

For both though I was wondering if you would be able to use a gradient light effect on the surfaces - kind of a "high gloss" feeling with field of depth.

Additionally, what would u think about using a font more like a lawyer type font like entry 4... I like the all capital letter concept. Thx

1 last idea... maybe 2... how would 34 look with a black obilisque and i was thinking a large green circular background rather than a sperical section at the bottom.

and again if u could work with 3dimensional smooth shading it would be great.

Than you.

Slightly different font (Garamond) with the glossy finish (excellent suggestion by the way).

Is there anything different I can do to any of my concepts to compete with some of these new ones? :)

Maybe more colors or change the sun or something? Maybe more rounded font? Different color obelisk?

I will throw in a couple other ideas onto the contest page.

Once again your comments are much appreciated. Thanks!

So sorry to bombard you with entries, but I went on a creative binge! I hope you like the new layout of my concept. I tried to make it more usable as a letterhead. I also tried out a GREEN sun, I thought it really ties energy efficiency and solar power together nicely. I also tried to tie your requested colors together as best as I could. Feel free to tag the ones you don't like 'not interested' if you wish to clean up your options. Let me know if you like where I'm going with this. If there's any adjustments you'd like me to make please feel free to let me know! I appreciate the great opportunity.

Take care now!

My same half sun, with my same futura font from my other entries, made a little more glassy.

#93 - I really appreciate you making the effort to perfect the design. I am really impressed by your creativity, skill and effort.

Is there any chance that you could take the light reflection at the top of the globe and tune it down ever so slightly?

I think the reflection at the top is a perfect touch I just feel that the intensity makes it look a a tad washed out at the top.

Thanks.

Ryan - you need to stop challenging the other designers on the solar cell trace pattern of the diamonds and lines. The trace pattern is absolutely public domain. and denotes the use of solar power.

If you really look at the submissions Rosy's submission number 50 set the stage for your current leading design. Do you think she is justified in challenging your designs?

The designs by degree celsius that were removed were unique and valuable and I have to say that I am very dissappointed that you challenged them and ultimately had them removed.

I would highly suggest that you remove any further challenges on this contest.

Thank you,
Mark

I appreciate the comments. I will no longer challenge other designers, but I do feel I have the right to protect my design. I agree with you on the case of the solar panel, I believe I was wrong, which proved to be true in the votes. As far as degree celsius, I feel what I did was perfectly fair and 11 other high ranked designers agreed. Please look at it also from a designers standpoint. On this site we have a right to protect our design if we feel it is being copied and slightly altered in order to win the contest based on the #1 ranked design. This is why the logo court function is implemented. I own the logo until the rights are passed to the competition holder. We on this site are not collectively working together to make the best logo for the competition holder, it is an individual competition to win a prize, and the competition has rules.

Again, though, just to respect your wishes I will no longer challenge other designs. I appreciate you coming forward to me and giving me a chance. By no means am I trying to sound argumentative or anything, I am just respectfully sharing my point of view.

If you have any more suggestions for my concepts, please do not hesitate to ask. I will make any changes necessary. I will also try and create some new and different ideas for you as well.

Best regards,

Ryan

Spinning arrow represents renewable. I am still trying to make a green sun/green arrow that shows up well. Once I make it I'll submit it.

Please Mark give me another chance to tweak my logo. I would much appreciate it. I can make it just the way you want it if you could give me the chance! I've worked so hard so far, in my design folder I have 50 variations!! Either way I appreciate the opportunity, and I do again apologize for challenging other designers in logo court, I just did what I felt I had to do!

Take care,

Ryan

If you'd like you can temporarily rank me first so I can submit a black background version, just in case you wanted to see what that looked like. Thanks again!
