These are awesome. Could you try #129 with a different graphic element? The cube is just too commonplace. I love it, and the symbolism there, but I want to be a little different. I could probably just use the type from #129 and feel like it was strong enough, but I would love to see another graphic mark tried out.
#130 is really like what I was hoping people would try and design. Big block of color, interacts with white space, etc. Great work!
I feel like #144 is too complicated and maybe too literal. I really like your style, so I am going to give you a design idea that nobody else has caught on to yet. The view looking out of our huge expansive windows is what the person who lives in a house does. You are in Australia, so you have some incredibly vast views of land and ocean there, so how about something that is like looking out of a window at a serene landscape. Maybe the window edge is the hard edged component and the landscape has gentle curves overlapping to give a little depth which would match with the text well. Just an idea, but I'd like to see what you can do with it. Thanks for your work on this so far!
Regarding #193: Despite there being vista's out in the desert where some of the homes will go, I think that something less "hilly" would work better. Something more serene. Also, there are no palm trees here, so I guess get rid of that. :) Thanks, I think it has potential!
#220 really made me smile. It's very cute. I want to keep the concept with the windows and that landscape, but maybe un-skew them and make it more orderly and horizontal. I also prefer that the graphic mark be next to the text, or at least be able to work well there. It seem that it is hard to get a "module" or similar shape with a lot of perspective to look good next to some text because there is so much movement in a design like that, and then the text is so clean and straight. I think for a modern housing company the graphic should line up with things and there should be a lot of clean straight lines. That's one of the things I love about the text in that design. It's very orderly. With all that said. Could you try the windows next to the design with the lines running horizontal instead of at an angle? I did a little photoshop to see what it would look like since I don't want to waste your time, and I think it will work. Hope that makes sense. There would be no perspective to the windows, just looking straight out. Thanks!
Great orange color and shape change on #278. I am glad to have this as an option. I may ask to switch out the colors with the square one in 1st place, but I can check that out in photoshop beforehand. I think these are both equally strong colors. There are some really tough decisions ahead, I just know it.
So, for #279 and #271, I think the little plant in the foreground could be left out as an option for me to consider. I think it is a little cleaner without it. If it's too unbalanced, I think the addition of a sun, or sun-rays could be neat. That may get too busy though. I'll let you be the judge on whether or not to add anything.
I know you're not so keen on the CS idea much anymore, but this is an element created from an idea I was playing around with at the beginning of the contest (not uploaded of course). Let me know what you think.
Well, as far as CS ideas go, I like yours the best out of the 300 or so tries that people have given me. That should count for something. :)
The new mantra over here for sifting through all these is "what does it have to do with housing, or a modern house?" If it doesn't, it doesn't really matter how attractive or polished it is, or how much I like it, it's not good for the company. You have tried to capture this, no doubt, and have done really well in the minimalist sense. I still like the type on your logos the best of any of them I think. It's not as safe as the #1 spot right now, which of course I love, but in the more adventurous category, you win. It's all still swimming around in my head and I know it's late there, so I apologize for coming up with this so last minute.
#583 is a great design, but the logo on it's own would just not make sense right off the bat to people. I'm pretty sure that each one of the "blades" on that shape is like a little modular home. Very cool, and very accurate for the shape of our smaller one bedroom houses. Nobody would get that though. Just wanted to let you know my last minute feedback, and wanted to thank you sooo much for all your work on all this!
