Moab RelayLogo Design Contest

Love the arch being used for the "A" in "MOAB." This is a common use for business in Moab so I am surprized how much I like it. We would like to see some different variations of #1 with different types of runners. We like the rugged feel and use of color. We like that the runner has a sporty feel but something is off.....possibly too feminine.

Can you make a version with a similar color use as #2 only not boxed in. We are concerned about how a boxed in logo will look on t-shirts etc., yet we like how the black feels in #2--the black bar behind relay and the black arch behind the runner.

#6 This one has potential. Like the stacked box of letters. We are unsure about the circular border, that is, we are not sure what it is. It seems like it may have a Native American feel and while that is attractive, it doesn't accurately represent our running event. Definatley like the way you did the Moab lettering.

#4 We like the red rocks. The canyon or "V" feels over powering. The logo overall feels more like a beautiful picture than a rugged logo. Needs to convey the "running" nature of the event.

The most recent designs are great but are lacking the "red rock" or "Arches" element of the Moab, Utah area.

I'm not sure how you would do this with out being to "busy" but I would be interested in seeing some designs that showed TWO RUNNERS with one runner passing the batton to the other. Just an idea since it is a team relay.

Wow! I can see what happened here. I understand the need to maintain authenticity and that is a good thing. Unfortunatley, I liked XYBER9's designs, particually the arch and lettering. I had been asking for a new "runner" and was still unsatisfied when he was removed from the contest. See my previous discussion posts. If any of you designers are interested in providing me with designs that use the "Delicate Arch" as an "A "(which is highly used in the Moab area by many companies) I would be very interested.

I'm not set on the arch being used at the "A" but we do tend to like some of the designs when an arch is incorporated in some way.

Note to all designers. DO NOT HESITATE TO USE DELICATE ARCH IN YOUR DESIGNS JUST BECAUSE SOME ONE ELSE HAS! Delicate Arch is THE "icon" of the Moab, Utah area. See Moab's website http://discovermoab.com/. "The Golden Gate Bridge" in San Fransisco, and "Delicate Arch" in Moab. This arch more than another Arch is associated with Moab, so it makes sense for Arch, and logo depictions from more than one designer to look like this arch, I want them to. While I welcome designs using other arches from the Moab area (http://www.wilsonarchresortcommunity.com/),the "Delicate Arch" has instant brand recognition. Thanks guys!
