Origin of the name Mistletoe

We aim on creating an entrepreneur ecosystem in Japan and the rest of Asia, comparable to the likes of Silicon Valley.  In order to achieve this we are pushing forward with our Seed Accelerator program.

We like to think of the start-up environment as being comparable to a forest ecosystem.  If money is the flow of water in a forest ecosystem then a company is a tree and the bird that helps the forest grow, the entrepreneur.  In the same way that a mistletoe plant provides a nest and source of food for birds, Mistletoe provides a service that acts as a home and source of capital for the entrepreneur.

Furthermore the mistletoe plant, as an evergreen, protects birds even throughout the winter, and serves a vital role in the forest ecosystem.  In the entrepreneur ecosystem, Mistletoe serves as a development base, and that is why we have chosen it for our name.
