? Egg plant...? Maybe?
We're flexible with our color scheme but don't want a traditional red, white and blue. We'd like to use timeless, conservative, trust evoking colors.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
While we serve veterans we don't want a logo including the American flag or screaming Americana.
We're looking for an abstract logo icon that can stand alone and be used as a design element in our marketing materials.
In our work, we connect three entities to enable research to be conducted for America's veteran population. We think three abstract parts interconnecting would make a good icon to illustrate our work. We're excited to see how you can accomplish that without making it look like the Olympic rings.
For the text component of our logo put the emphasis on "Veterans Medical Research", of that phrase "Medical Research" is more important than "Veterans". "Missouri Foundation For" should be less prominent.
Clean professional feeling fonts would be best. We want them to be easy to read and not too floofy.
