Thanks for your contribution.
I like writing and font, but try it in black rather than grey.

I like that it is simple and shiny. My colour preferences are for green-blue-indigo-violet end of the rainbow spectrum (or think of the sea on a bright sunny day).
Could you try doing the sphere/disk metallic, and the M in the rainbow colours mentioned (any or all)? Or vice versa?

I know there are some other highly rated entries that use letter/s in the name, but I also appreciate ides without letters in them.

Thank you!

Great.
I'd love to see #59 in very bright blue ( brighter than #60 - as bright as possible) and also fire engine red.

Sticking with style #59 can we play with more colours. I really like intense, bright colours, and have some colour info below. Please let me know if that helps, or if there is a better way of communicating about colours.

colour
name, hex (#) red green blue access
blue* ........#0000FF ....0 ...0 ....255 16711680
blue 2 .......#0000EE ...0 ...0 ....238 15597568
blue 3 .......#0000CD ...0 ...0 ....205 13434880
turquoise 1 #00F5FF ..0 ...245 .255 16774400
turquoise 2 #00E5EE .0.. .229 .238 15656192
purple 1......#9B30FF .155 48 ...255 16724123
purple 2 .....#912CEE 145 44....238 15608977
purple 3 .....#7D26CD 125 38 ...205 13444733
(the above colours can be combined in some way. For stand alone colour I prefer the blue, but blending it into the purple and/or turquoise is also good.

red 1 #FF0000 255 0 0 255
red 2 #EE0000 238 0 0 238
red 3 #CD0000 205 0 0 205
The red is a stand alone colour, not to be combined with other colours, just black/grey/white.

Thank you.

Excellent. I now have a few colours I really like (including some of the earlier ones). The faves are #59 68 77 and 75.

How would it look if the shiny aspect was...less shiny. I do like the fact that it is shiny, but it makes it more white, and there is less contrast with the M. Perhaps just pick one colour (blue, #68) and play with that, reducing the shine, but keeping the 3d look to it.

Thank you

#87 is great - I like being able to see the m more clearly. Can you try that same effect with #59, #74 #75, #77?
Thanks!

That's great. #87 is excellent - just what I'm after in terms of the shine. Can we try the following?
A few different blues - try more intense, darker, brighter blues
try without the shadow underneath
Miriam Blakemore in lower case (keep capital M and B)
Thank you!

Great! More food for thought.
The blues are definately getting there, the slightly darker is good. See also the blue in the channel 10 logo (aust TV - (ten.com.au) They do the shine a little differently, I'm not sure if that's what makes the difference.

I like the two colour one too! Will need to ponder a bit more to decide whether to do the blue alone, or the blue/grey as they are both so good. #130 is reminds me of the sea, which I love. I was wondering how it would look with a darker blue on top, instead of the grey, like the sea on a bright sunny day.
I really appreciate all the work you are putting in, and the way you take on board my comments and then do extra!

Just to add to and (hopefully) clarify the above.

#123
I was thinking about the blue of this. I want it more intense, darker, brighter. Perhaps not actually having a shine, but having shading, so the center is bright blue (red: 0 green 0, blue 230) and then it gradually gets to a more midnight blue around the edges. One of the benefits of this darker look is that it will look better when things are in black and white (such as faxes, which unfortunately I still need to use quite a bit).
I like the writing in this one.

#130
Another thought is the sea over the sand: the bottom is the blue sea, (the blue currently in #123) the white m is the waves and the top is white sand colour with no shine to it. This is moving away a little from the original style I was after, but I live in a coastal city and the beach is important to a lot of people, so I would really love to see how it looks.

Thanx for the constructive feedback, i have experimented with some darker blues as you have asked for with the diff shine idea, from the centre and off the centre.

Ooooh! #139...I really like that! It has a number of different elements: blues reminiscent of the beach, the M (of course!) and two shapes fitting in together (representing working with others).

There are so many different ones. I'll need more time to have a better look, and will start to get feedback about them from a few other people also.

I think this is down to two designs, yours and one other. There is just a bit of tweaking (if that), then a big decision to make.

Thank you SO much for all your help.

Just when I thought you couldn't make it any better...you have. #148 with the slightly thicker M has improved what was already a fabulous logo.

I would like to think a little more about the writing...I'll get back to you on that if I want to see some more ideas there.

Hi Dennis

thanks again for such a great design. In the last day I've received a bit of feedback from a few other people (too many and it would have started making it too confusing). The general consensus was it is a great logo, and I plan to run with it. The only comment from a couple of people was that it is very much like a surfwear logo. I personally like the blue and may stick with it. I also like the red and would like to see just one more red design if that is OK! Can you please try the two tone with the reds, one mat and one shiny? In point form:

One:
the M as in #148
The colour as in #98 for the top and darker for the bottom. So in other words the lighter top is a true red and the bottom is a darker ruby red or maroon. The tone difference similar to #148.
Matt (no shine, like in #148).

Two:
As above, but with a shine like in #147.

Thank you!
