This would surely get noticed on a magazine rack. There is initial curiosity and a nice little "aha factor" which creates viewer interaction and investment.(This comment references Entry #36) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer (This comment references Entry #37) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer ...(This comment references Entry #59) 14 years ago bmanjra Client thanks - we really like your originality and thought! 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer adjusted proportions for more emphasis on brand name without minimizing the strength of the graphic device(This comment references Entry #117) 14 years ago bmanjra Client really like #36 and #117. is there a way of you integrating "gippsland" into the logo, while still making it possible to remove for some circumstances? Thanks,Bec & Dave 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer (This comment references Entry #120) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer (This comment references Entry #122) 14 years ago bmanjra Client Hi Steve,Thanks. with regard to the word gippsland, your examples make it extend the logo (off to the left or right), is there an example where you could place it below so we can see how that looks?thanksBec & Dave 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer accent colour for regional enclosure but also to be changed according to cover art needs and/or seasonal promotions - I don't know why, but this one makes me smile!(This comment references Entry #123) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer Yes. I'll work on that just now... 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer (This comment references Entry #124) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer another straightforward solution - a better one really (a Gippslander ;0) will like seeing their name with a bit more presence).btw, I should point out that in print form, a brand with heavy gloss effects does not come off nearly so well as on screen so i've purposely avoided that.(This comment references Entry #125) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer bolder red and with just a wee bit of gradient...(This comment references Entry #142) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer no shadow, no reflection (thinking about the header for this version, although I will include both versions)(This comment references Entry #145) 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer stripped right back to simple two-colour...(This comment references Entry #146) 14 years ago bmanjra Client Hi Steve,We really like your work.Just thinking that as most cows have 4 teats (!) is it worth doing 4 (or even 2 as a side view)??? Just a thought...thanks,Bec & Dave 14 years ago RetroMetro_Steve Logo Designer I don't think anatomical correctness is nearly so important as graphic effectiveness. Three teats echoes the m in the word 'milk' and so reinforces the brand name. Indeed, you could easily leverage the anatomical anomaly (that has a nice ring to it) to further enhance brand recognition and consumer investment by drawing overt attention to it in, say, a blog or first issue editorial or 'letters to the editor' or just let it play without guidance and see what happens. In any event, I see no down side whatsoever... 14 years ago
