Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Thanks Angus. I think we like that the Metropolitan is more prominent than overlook. I might want to see the words separated slightly more. We also often use a burgandy color that could be interesting to see in this design. Thanks again for submitting!
Not a problem at all, and here are some versions ... We can do it in a few ways;
#41 - as per on white, but change the darkest panels to white including "Metropolitan" #42 - make it all white and leave just the gold bar coloured #43 - or change the darker shades of grey to lighter shades
We are pretty much decided on 24. Is there a way to try the text just slightly more bold? We really like the way it looks, but feel it might be a little tricky to read.
Yes of course not a problem at all, would be my pleasure.
Now I've created three versions, however the website is having some "internal server errors" so I've only be able to upload 2 of the 3 and not in order!!
So they should go: #89 - 0.05mm thicker #88 - 0.1mm thicker
The next one would have been 0.15mm thicker. I think personally I quite like the #88.
Of course if you'd like to see more please let me know. If the server allows me to upload the 3rd thicker option I will do so immediately.
Congratulations Angus! We are really excited about your design. We would like to use the logo on our website which has a black background, could you send us a version of the winning design in reverse for that purpose (ie similar to entry #41).
Thanks! Mary
P.S. would you also be interested in doing additional free lance work for us in the future?
