here's a development of the initial idea. Whilst being locked into a metal rendering of the logo form its important that you see the design as a simple mark so that you may gauge the message of the logo when say screen printed or on faxable media.
Regarding #15... lots of positive feedback on this design from internal sources. We'd like it better if the serif's were toned down some on the large "M" and the red, white, and blue of the ribbon holding the medal were more balanced in size. Some inquired about a blue metallic/chromatic effect on the "M" and "Medallurgy", while others thought that would make it too busy. What do you think?
