MasterLink Construction, LLCLogo Design Contest

Dear Logo Tournament Designers-

This is the second company I have had you design a logo for in two years. I have 100% confidence in your abilities as designers and look forward to seeing your entries. I really am excited about this! Good luck to all of you.

All of these are a great start to this contest! I like the concept of having some sort of emblem/image that can be separated from the name, as all of these have.
The use of the Chain Link type image is something I have toyed with in my head, but was worried it might come out looking too cheesy for the commercial side of the business. #'s 7 and 8 get that idea across in a professional way.
I know it is early in the contest, but I think it is safe to say that we can eliminate a blue/orange color combo.

When I came up with the name for the company I was tapping into the concept of the master link of a chain that brings all of the links together. As a contractor that is my job, to bring together all of the pieces and make them whole. That does not mean I need to see a chain in my logo. I just thought it would be useful knowledge.
Also, since the words "Master" and "Link" looked funny to me when apart, I pushed them together and capitalized the "L." I think I would like to keep that aspect of how "MasterLink" is written, rather than all caps or all lowercase. But, as I said, I "think" that is how I'd like to see it.
