Color Preferences
A majority of Architectural plans are on 2d black and white so I would like a logo that is effective on this basic medium while also being effective for my website and business stationary. I need a design that uses the gray scale or translates over to black, white and gray effectively. I am open to colored versions that have this ability as long as it remains architectural, professional and sophisticated
Our Ideas & Additional Information
My last name is Bishop and I want to start using symbolism in terms of the Bishop chess piece throughout my business. You will see from my original logo this initial use of the chess piece. The chess piece could be used symbolically however I think I would like to see some depth in the logo with the use of a 3d element. I want to be able use the chess piece with and without the text for my business. I would also consider using the Castle (Rook) as a link to the Architecture Industry. I should also note that I am very Passionate about New Zealand of which black is our national color although this is not vital for the logo design

Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Hi Designers, I just thought I would let you know that I have received feedback suggesting that I should consider the simple design more as the effect of the 3d image is lost when it comes to using the logo on other Mediums, i.e. print, clothing

Hi bish..finally a CH (contest holder) who understands that 2d over 3d is far better for branding.;.thank you thank you thank you!

General Comments coming in gives us no clear indication of which design is favored. I'm thinking more emphasis on the bishop as a pure icon, however as I say the rankings are deceiving, there are about 6 different designs that are coming up consistently in peoples like's.
Thanks designers
