Hey everyone, we like the real Manchester logo from England (attached) and have used it internally, shows fun and a little MAD fun!! But lets try new ideas and come up with something great. This is for a very large development (50 acres) and will be shown to many people. Also, for a bonus, the winner gets to design the other materials that we require!! thanks.....

Things we thought about: Manchester Arts District: Have a little MAD fun!!

Some neat things is that there will be shopping from all over the world, direct and really cheap, also there are no taxes in this entire area and some are duty free as well. Think of a huge luxury discount mall, high end brands only, then in the connecting streets all sorts of fun stuff from all over the world. Areas that remind us of a bazaar, international food and beverages, mixed in with street vendors, ice cream and coffee.

Hi fellow designers, I don't think this is a rebranding for manchester united football club? The devil is an exact copy from the football club's logo! The client merely revealed that they have used it internally and we should come up with new ideas.

In any case, i'm not sure the idea of the red devil is associated with Manchester. But it is for the football club for sure..correct me if i'm wrong..:)

Thanks for the comment ZK9, to clarify, we love the Manchester United logo and used it to illustrate direction, like any other logo would be used to suggest "we like this sort of thing"... So no hard feelings HappyB!!

Please take note: while a "devilish" character is acceptable as in Manchester United's, a representation of "the devil" is not acceptable. A big reptilian tongue, or hooves, or other grown-up devil attributes is not our motif at all. (To make it simple: cute little devil is good, bad mean real devil is bad ;)

Remember, this new community is to have fun, experience, eat, shop, dance, and enjoy diversity and culture from all over the world. At night there is a bohemian quality, a bit risque, and full of flavor.

So let's figure out how to cleverly express this, and get creative....

Joseph, no hard feelings taking, I just wanted to point out the potential legal minefield of doing anything that combines the words "Manchester" and any "red devil" imagery without the explicit approval of Manchester United.

Are you looking for a playful looking devil or something more stylized like the Manchester logo? Open to all ideas?

We are open to all ideas! We are looking for something that can represent a 45 acre city and the whole playful devil thing might be too scary! JD
