What We Do
Magnum Surge is a boutique, but highly specialized, consulting, investment and operating company that focuses on maximizing the opportunities within the larger sports & entertainment industry. Started by a group of industry experts out of media, commerce and tour operations, the organization focuses on music bands, artists, small music labels, sports teams, players & athletes, celebrities, licensees and small/medium-sized businesses in the areas of Digital (products, offerings, transactions and revenue), Investments (where we can provide both working capital as well as operational expertise) and we also look to create or take advantage of new and emerging markets and opportunities.

Color Preferences
I am look to use no more than 3 colors; preferably 2. Some combinations of Grey, Orange, Purple, Blue and Red are options that can be used. I do not want to use Green, Yellow, Black or White.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo will be used on business materials (business cards, presentations, website, etc), but also product packaging (DVDs, etc) and other marketing materials (banners, etc). If you look at logos like Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Warner Bros. Pictures, you will get an idea of the overall direction and legacy we are looking for, but something with a more modern feel.

Some great designs coming in! Thank you so much for the initial ones. I clarified in the brief that I do not want the tag line in the logo...it's not official. It's more directional and thematic. I also adjusted the settings to say a bit more feminine. It's not that I want it to be feminine...I'm looking for more gender neutral. But the name of the company is definitely more masculine, so I am looking to counter balance that. Please ask questions if you have any!

Thanks for all of the logos so far! There is no clear winner at the moment...I have a few that show promise, but nothing that is a certain winner. Please try some new variations! The ones that are working the best are ones that either have 1) some kind of "MS" illustration with the company name below or beside it, or 2) that have the profile of an animal with the company name below or beside. There is one with a lion profile, but I am concerned that using a lion is too close to some other companies in this space. Here are some ideas to help you all!

1) Iguana or other lizard
2) Some kind of bee...maybe a honey bee or yellow jacket.
3) Shark
4) Dinosaur...maybe a triceratops or Styracosaurus
5) Horned or long tooth pigs...like wart-hog or boar
6) Horned mammal...maybe an ibex or bighorn sheep.
