For logo/icon design bright colors as all colors will light up on a t-shirt.

Icons should tie into the theme of 'illumination' and be to the left of the text "Luminate.it"

This logo design will transformed into a t-shirt panel that will flash in response to ambient sound. To animate the logo the winning design will be made into 5 frames by having various parts blacked out. Artists are only expected to submit a static logo, I will get the logo animated after the contest.
The potential of animated logos can be seen from the examples in this link http://tinyurl.com/yln5nur. Note that the Luminate.it animation I have done is only to show the type of animation that is possible.

I will comment and provide feedback on designs within 24 hrs of submissions.

Top performing designers in this contest may be contacted for additional work once Luminate.it launches.
