#68 Interesting use of the 'L's and a strong iconic image of a bag/tag. Nicely done! May we see colors that might be more appealing to women? (feel free to veer away from the suggested color palate) Also, not sure we love the different color letters of Lisa. But this design is intriguing to us. The challenge is making something iconic (to use in an app or in a microsite or on collateral pieces) and also bring the intimacy of "Local Lisa" to the design...since it is a real person who represents the brand. Also, in addition to deals, Lisa will also be sharing a blog, ideas about things to do around town, and other information to help simplify women's lives. Kind of like a girlfriend who pops into your email inbox. We want it to speak to women and be energetic, appealing, hip, approachable and different than a traditional deal or coupon site with a cartoon figure of a woman. Any ideas you have would be great!
#66 Very, very interesting. We like the city scape and strong design. It reminds us of a UPC symbol and a row of skyscrapers. Any thoughts on how to keep it clean and modern (like you've made it) and bring in a bit more of a feminine feel? We really like the dropshadow of your original design...maybe incorporating something like that into the piece as well? Again, we'd like to see some different color options that might be more appealing to women...any suggestions you might have would be welcome.
Thanks again for your submissions! You have some great ideas!
#93. Hmmm. Very interesting. Wow. You are really creative and unique! Interesting font choice too! Keep them coming. (and by the way, you're profile pic is adorable ;-)
#95 Gorgeous. Really nice work! Can we see this design but with the purple margins at the top and sides brought in to fit within the 'barcode/skyline'? No purple border going outside the top or sides of the bag. LOVE the font you've chosen. Clean. Modern. Different. (by the way, I've been to Turkey...Istanbul, Ephesus, Phillpi (sp?)...your country is beautiful and the people were just lovely and gracious.
Greetings! Sorry for the delay! Hoping you are well. Our team really likes your designs, but our focus group of women (who we are targeting as our demographic) are heavily leaning toward the colorful skyline with the buildings as bags (currently ranked 2nd). With that said, would you be interested in submitting YOUR take on a feminine version of a skyline/shopping bags?
Most of our focus group likes the colors, the arch of the skyline and the 'message' of city/shopping. What they are missing in the number 2 ranked design is the tagline "It's a pretty big deal".
However, our team really likes the sophisticated and modern approach of YOUR designs. While the #2 design is indeed inviting and colorful, it's a little 'cutesy' and 'teenager-feeling'. We'd love to see how you could take that design concept and put your own thumbprint on it. Also, the Local and Lisa need to be very clear to read (same with the tagline). Otherwise, it tends to look like 'Loco' or 'Lo-Cal' in some of the other designer's work. (This is just feedback we've received). Perhaps put 'Lisa' in script? Just a thought; we'll certainly defer to you.
Lastly, although most of our focus group loves the colors (we love your colors too by the way!), in the second ranked design, we also need to consider what a b/w version would look like in our print materials.
Thank you again SO much for your prompt responses and excellent work! We look forward to seeing more of your submissions!
You're welcome. Also, if you feel up to it, our focus group mentioned wanting to see something with the 'face' of Lisa. Again, we'd like something modern, sophisticated, abstract rather than illustrative, but fun and inviting as well. We'd love to see a clever, iconic, simple way of making a 'face' go with the logo.
So far, most of the faces we've seen have a cartoon-ish or 'hair salon' looking image. We are interested in something more subtle and more artistically woven into the design. We'd love for you to share your ideas.
And just so you know, our team all LOVES your skyline and square 'bag' designs, but we have to appeal to the consensus of our focus group...since that is our end user. But we all think you are brilliant and are so impressed by your creative approach. ;-)
p.s. We are NOT looking for faces like 97, 98, 107 or 108. Too 'typical' and 'expected'. Also, the current top ranking design with the face is also too typical, but we like the tagline word bubble idea....although we aren't married to any particular direction. We'd just like to see something less 'cute' and more savvy.
Just saw your latest designs! Wow. Great work again! I'll send them to the team tomorrow and see what they say. But yes...the "Lisa" is just what I described...love the movement, the sophistication and the flip of the bags. Nicely done. Don't you ever sleep? ;-)
;-) Just got the newest version...it keeps getting better! Question: can you make 'Lisa' the one saying "It's a pretty big deal" and put the tagline in a quote bubble instead of the name Lisa? We really like the your idea of having the 'Lisa' being active and saying the message... and we like the handwritten/script font for 'Lisa'; could we see something just a touch more 'soft'? (not much...just a bit...we really like the sophisticated fonts you choose...)
Great job on the face of Lisa, somehow you managed to pull off the best portrait of her yet...and we've had more than a few designers/artists have a go at it.
If possible, could you do a slight tweak on the woman walking with gray skyline? Here's a summary of the feedback we've received:
We really like the style of the walking woman: modern, sophisticated and it reminds other women (who know Lisa) of her true personality. Couple of refinements folks have mentioned they would like to see...(we understand from a design perspective that it is strong and like it as is...but we're responding to feedback, not our personal preferences/tastes) make the breasts less pointed, "Local Lisa" with capital L's and lower case letters for easier readability and the tag line in a softer hand-writing/script font.
Or if you have another iconic woman all together that incorporates the critique points above, feel free to shoot us your creative take on it....
Regardless of what logo we eventually pick, yours or another designers, we'd like to work with you/purchase the "Lisa face" design for use in other areas of our marketing (i.e. twitter art, Facebook, etc, etc.) We really appreciate how responsive and professional you've been throughout this process!
Ilkay, I just wanted to give you some typical feedback from a few of our women in our focus group:
"My favorite is the last one (Anna's skyline). It is bright, easy to grasp a concept of what it is you are marketing and simple..not too busy. I still think the "tag" (Heru) looks too much like it should go on luggage. It is my least favorite. I had to study the first ones (Ilkay) to figure out it was an outline of a woman. Only on the third one (pearls/scarf/short hair) did I make out what the shape was exactly. I would definitely say stay away from the first two because if someone like me (who knows what you are doing) has to "study" the design to even figure it out..doubt it would speak to many people and it certainly isn't clean and clear on what you are marketing .
"The skyline with silhouette (#126) with your name enhanced helps visualize your identity as an advocate for "me"! Especially since I've met you, I know your drive and determination to "forge ahead" with the latest and greatest seems very apparent with this logo. Tag line is PERFECT!!!"
These are two of many...but perhaps you'll get an idea of how varied the responses are...and the pros and cons of what they notice about your design. ;-)
There are still some tweak that we would like to be made - mainly with the shape of the woman 's body. Also we wanted to see the scarf as the dots and solid.
While we're putting in our requests, can I suggest one more regarding font? 1. Can we see an upper/lower case font for Local Lisa similar to the ones found on: Nancy #60 and Anna #97 With YOUR handwritten font for 'It's a pretty BIG deal'. 2. We love your Local Lisa font. Do you have an option just like that font but to see all capitals (just like you have it), but make the 'ocal' and 'isa' in the same caps but a smaller font? To give it the appearance of upper and lower case letters for easier readability?
Great, great work! Wow! You amaze us!! I have a few things I want to discuss with you but I have to run to a meeting. I will be back shortly to share our ideas! Thank you SO much for sharing your talent with us!!
Hi Ilkay! We are really close to the final design! (we haven't officially announced a winner yet, but I'm sure you've guessed that you're our pick) ;-) Could you do a few tweaks on these designs to get us to the final logo?
This is what we like from #145: Girl Body: Take out the hip crease? (Like #131) Girl Hair: Can we see the 2-toned hair color but in deep, dark purples like #126? Scarf: Yes. Line: We like how it bisects her hip and bags. can we see it in both green and gray? Buildings: Like #142 Tag Line: #142 Font Local Lisa: #145 Font but in purples like #142 and also in blues like the blue bag in #145?
Also, we'd like to purchase some other logos from you.

Thank you so much! I just saw your other questions about the 'Globe' and 'Stickies'.
No globe. Great idea, but we like the direction you are headed. ;-) No 'stickies'. Just the buildings. Thank you.
Can we make a few tiny changes? We are almost there!
We like #146 and #147 with some modifications: 1. No 'stickies'. Just the buildings. 2. Girl's Neck: #142 (it has an extra line in the neck. We like that line.) 3. Girl's Hairstyle: #126 (with the dark purple hair colors of #146/#147) 4. Hand/Wrist: #140 (with the dark purple line holding bags) 5. Can we see one with colored buildings and green line? 6. Can we see one with gray buildings and gray line?
Sorry for all the changes! Thank you!
And I will come up with a price for the other logos.
Congratulations Ilkay! #153 Winning Logo (We LOVE it! Thank you!)
We are moving quickly with our website; can we have the following? Vector files: Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and .EPS
Also if available, .jpg .png .psd
Also want to purchase (with vector files like above?): #127 (with buildings, LocalLisa and tagline like #153...for consistency in our brand. Keep the green line the same in the design) #137 (with LocalLisa and tagline like #153) #139 (keep the buildings just the same. LocalLisa and tagline like #153) #143 (LocalLisa and tagline like #153)
Would you accept $250 for these logos? And do you have a PayPal account? If not, how should we pay you?
Thank you again so much! We look forward to a long friendship and working relationship with you!
