Slogan

Answer Pope John Paul II's call for a New Evangelization

What We Do

We promote audio CDs from some of the best Catholic speakers in the world on all aspects of life from cradle to grave. The main focus for this Logo is for a program that will go door to door inviting a community to a Welcome Night we will host at the parish - we are thinking of calling this something like "Emissaries Program" Open Hearts - Open Doors or Invitation Day for All.

Religious

Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Strong colors, but not hyper masculine. Perhaps some warm colors, but not so warm that there's no "bite" to the logo. It has to arrest (or "stop") the viewer in some manner.
#2 - Clean (professional font), but not stiff.
#3 - Inviting - Nothing too wild as this doesn't work in a more reserved Church setting, which most parishes are.

Our Target Audience:

This is for Door to Door evangelization so mostly families of all types in a typical town. The essences are

* I like icons (images) that more "hint" at the religious than do I like overtly religious (or predictable) images.
* Nothing can look "clip art-ish".

Color Preferences

* Strong colors, but not hyper masculine. Perhaps some warm colors, but not so warm that there's no "bite" to the logo. It has to arrest (or "stop") the viewer in some manner.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

I'm confused now - how does the promotion of "audio CDs from some of the best Catholic speakers in the world" fit in?

Good question, Steve...

The promotion and distribution of audio CDs from Catholic speakers is the primary ministry of Lighthouse Catholic Media. But this door-to-door evangelization event is a new branching out of our ministry. We will be leaving a CD with each home we visit, but this logo should focus on the event itself (the top runners at this point are the logos that emphasize doors, homes, outreach, people). Working the idea of an audio CD into the logo is an intriguing idea, but the primary focus should be the door-to-door outreach.

I do not understand this contest.
Have you changed at this point what you want?
I do not know what course to follow.
Sincerely
