What We Do
Predominantly an online retailer (warehouse shopfront by appointment only) of premium lawn supplies, such as granular and liquid fertilisers, soil wetters, pre-emergent herbicides, selective herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and organic soil health products.
The target audience are people who want the best products on the market at a competitive price, without any of the bells & whistles or snake oil sales, have a very well presented lawn or want to achieve one, and are committed to maintaining a high quality lawn. Essentially the target market is for lawn fanatics or those who want to become one.
Color Preferences
As it's a lawn supplies business that helps people achieve green lawns, the obvious colours are green that are similar or relative to turf. Keen lawn fanatics end up with a striped lawn, where there are two shades of green, a lighter and darker, and typically that represents a well maintained lawn and the sort of client base the business is aimed towards.
Other colours that compliment this style of green can be used, while maintaining that "premium" feel of the business.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The business concept is "premium" products for "keen enthusiasts" of lawn care. It is not marketed towards the average home user, but towards those who take the hobby seriously and invest more money into maintaining the lawn than the average person. Ideally the logo will reflect this position in the market.
I'd like for the concept of striped lawns to be incorporated, as it is what people associate with lawn fanatics and what the average customer will have. A small incorporation of Australia into the logo, perhaps the outline of Australia in the letter A or something along those lines? Another addition would be a cylinder/greens mower incorporated into the logo, as again that symbolises the market audience and who will be buying the products and utilising the services.
Looking for a simple, clean, professional and modern design, something that can be easily recognised as there is a number of other companies in the same space and all have similar logos and it's hard to distinguish between them easily. Not too "busy" where the business name is lost amongst graphics.
