Our Ideas & Additional Information
I used LogoTournament (to great success) to develop the logo for my overall brand: The Edry Group. This logo for "Ko-Ed" is a division of the brand, but should reflect a much more high-end/luxury feel. Also, Ko-Ed comes from the first two letters of the principals' names and is, in part, a pun: One of us is male and the other is female, so Ko-Ed is a play on the word "co-ed." Therefore something that contrasts the feminine (Ko) and the masculine (Ed) could work. Perhaps a cursive "Ko" and more of a bold, san serif "Ed." But that's just one idea. As with the colors, the new logo doesn't/shouldn't be the same style as the general "Edry Group" logo, but ideally should complement/contrast it.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Hi again everyone--

Ketut's great design reminded me to make one point: Given that we already have a skyline on the general Edry Group logo, we don't need it on this sub-brand. This logo should hopefully be very simple, stylish and elegant... I suspect most of this will come across with typefaces and there won't be too much of a need for a pictorial element.

Also, I increased the prize a bit and I am hoping that will encourage folks to start submitting designs sooner rather than wait until the last minute. Based on my experience last time, I need at least 2-3 days to "live" with the design before I feel comfortable choosing it. Therefore, higher weight will be given to logos submitted earlier in the contest.

Much appreciated and looking forward to seeing all of your great work.

Thank you to all the designers who've submitted so far! Great job.... Would still like to see some submissions that play with the fonts a bit more... specifically the "Ko" part... would like to see something that is more delicate and elegant -- like a cursive script font... something more feminine to balance out the the heavy, masculine style of the "Ed"... Not sure if it will work, but would like to at least see a couple of options...

Thanks,
Sandy
