What We Do
KMRM (Knowledge Management • Risk Management) Consulting, LLC brings people and knowledge together. It's about getting the right information to the right people at the right time. Sometimes we focus on soft skills and people skills. Sometimes we have to develop technology to share the information. In "industry jargon" we conduct knowledge asset audits and risk assessment, develope organization-specific knowledge taxonomies and retention systems (e.g. personalized WIKIS), documentation of knowledge processes through knowledge capture and transfer, strategies for organizational culture improvement, and knowledge management initiative framework training.

Hi!
We prefer the "KM" to stand out as a unit, and the "RM" to stand out as a unit. We would like to see some sort of "connecting," "sharing," or "bringing people/knowledge together" icon mixed in with the letters. I previously owned a graphic design/marketing consulting firm for over 15 years before expanding into the knowledge management component. I promise I will be decisive and can give designer language input and feedback!!!!

We are looking for a "sharing/connecting/networking," person-centric icon "worth 1000 words." One that shows what knowledge management is about without SAYING all that it would take to define knowledge management. We welcome any entry that departs from the heavy emphasis only on the letters "KMRM." We appreciate everyone who enters and is helping our business.

Does anyone want to tackle doing a stacked KMRM logo, where KM is on the top of RM? Entry #16 intrigues me for some reason?!? I'd also like to see something that departs from the "norm" being established in the contest.

The concept of knowledge management is to share what you know with who needs to know it at the right time, i.e. getting the right information to the right people at the right time. Is there a symbol for knowledge? The risk part comes into play when an organization's knowledge ASSETS walk out the door, for any numbers of reasons. We audit how well a company's people, processes and technology hook up and how much of that knowledge has been shared... getting it out of someone's head and documented or shared in some fashion.

As things have progressed throughout the day, we like the logos that offer the dichotomy of "hard" sans serif typography and a "soft" sharing/connecting/networking icon. I think the icon will be the key to this design. The KMRM should be bold, and "Consulting, LLC" should be book (regular). The words knowledge management • risk management need to be worked in somewhere. Colors have not been decided yet; however, we have been leaning toward shades of dark grey to light grey for some of the text and blue or red for the balance of the text. We like more color in the icon. Please don't rule out a long horizontal logo (icon, then "KMRM Consulting, llc" to the right of the logo). We're finding we like "clean" and simple with white space.

Good Morning (for those of you in the US), and Good Whatever (for those of you around the globe)! I think getting to work with all of you is so COOOOOOL!

I just spent an hour on the phone with my partner going over ALL the submitted entries, examining closely what we like about fonts, typography, colors, spacing, arrangement of elements, and the like.

I had never seen or examined this site before we created a contest a few days ago. I've been trying to read the boards to understand how it works. I hope that posting this comment is the ethical thing to do?!? If not, please let me know. To be fair to ALL and so that designers don't think we're giving private info about our preferences to one or another, we want to share what we *think* we like thus far. Of course, we didn't know what we wanted when we started, so fresh ideas will ALWAYS be examined closely.

No one logo has all the elements as of now. AND there are a few things we are unsure of and still considering. As far as we can tell, we like a bold (not extra bold) font for KMRM with spacing between the letters. We like a book font for Consulting, and that in all CAPS as well. We like the LLC running vertical at the end of the word consulting. We like the M and R to have straight vertical sides where they butt up against each other. We are NOT sure if we like KMRM stacked on top of Consulting, LLC or in a horizontal row. We *think* we like KM in a color (red or blue) and RM in a dark shade of grey. We *think* we like the words "Knowledge Management" in the dark grey and "Risk Management" in the same color as the KM. Color and balance will be determined as we see that.

The icon is paramount. And while we like several, we are still open to ALL creative ideas. We would like to see traditional colors (dark red, green and blue) as well as two color in shading versions of the colors. We like three "people" or elements better than two (if your icon uses people). AGAIN, we are not married to the "person" idea, only the connecting of elements and sharing it represents. However, please remember that knowledge management is people, process, and technology... so people ARE the major driving force.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I can't believe how fantastic this experience is. You all are definitely worth WAY MORE than we are paying for this contest.

Hi all!

We are so grateful for your willingness to enter our contest! And to continue to use your creativity to interpret what we do into a "branding" logo.

As you can see, I have not moved rankings today, nor has there been that much activity, nor have I encouraged any. All designers have been SO VERY responsive, so I believe it is important to give an update about the schedule of our decision-making. As I've told many of you in messages, my partner has been traveling this entire week. We scheduled the timing of this contest because we knew we will be together on Monday evening and ALL DAY Tuesday.

However, he will be in the car for 11 hours tomorrow WITHOUT internet connection. I will be in the car for five hours on Monday morning, driving to meet him at one of our clients' locations. We planned our schedules to be together for the FINAL decision, giving us the ability to go over all the nuances of everyone's creativity and thoughtfulness. All this to say, I've been intentionally laying low today and will again tomorrow and Monday morning.

PLEASE keep entering your logo ideas. The concept of sharing and knowledge transfer is important in the "icon."

Thanks again for helping us with our business. We appreciate you sharing your creativity and thoughtfulness. We're anxious for synergy to take hold again!

Hi!

My partner and I are finally together! We didn't do much work last night... had a nice dinner with a guy that is helping us with our marketing. TODAY we are hard at it. We have looked at the logos and re-ranked them according to our discussions and needs. Sandhya has been right on all along from the start... from the first design. In our icon we need people, a sense of coming together/collaboration, a professional look, a sense of using and re-using knowledge. I have scoured many of your individual portfolios trying to get other ideas to share and suggest.

We ARE working on this all day today and will be late into the night. We ARE looking at all new submissions. You all are SOOOOO very creative. Other designs are FABULOUS. I wish I was brokering your logos for other companies like ours because if our business had just a slightly different angle, the nuances of one or another would be PERFECT. I certainly hope you save all designs for other collaborative consulting companies who seek your creative input for them.

Thanks for your continued support of our contest. We are FLATTERED you are participating. I have told (and shared the LT URL) with probably 50+ people. I hope I've steered many customers your way. I will be helping others reinvent their company culture with new logos, so I will be referring you!

Thanks...
Michelle
