Industry
Color Preferences
We don’t mind staying with a green as it does speak to the “sustainability” piece, though we worry it’s a big overused in that context. Don’t like bright, lime greens. Blue we like b/c it represents professionalism and trust in our minds but can also be a “sustainability color.” We like aquas and teals but nothing too bright or playful as our audience is looking at this in a work/professional context.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The primary reason we want a new logo is we are switching from “Kim Lundgren Associates” to “KLA”. We would like to see two versions: one that just has “KLA” and one that includes the full “Kim Lundgren Associates” along w the KLA as that context might be needed for a while. We don’t mind keeping a globe/planet Earth like we have currently though not quite so prominent. We had toyed with the idea of whether a globe or similar would fit inside the triangle part of the “A.” Would really like to have some way to represent communities, though a typical city skyline/silohuette is sometimes tough b/c smaller cities associate that with just big cities – but could be a way to do something of that nature that speaks more to “communities” than to “cities.”
We want something simple and clean (feel like current logo is too busy) but not too simple (more than just some text treatment).

Impact: At its very core, KLA’s mission is to Save the Earth – to ensure that all species have a clean, safe planet to call home now and forever.
Inclusivity: We believe that everyone can and should do something to minimize their impact on the Earth– at KLA we can’t do it alone. Every individual can do their part and we believe that local governments have a unique opportunity to lead their community toward a more sustainable future
Innovation: We believe that one important way to achieve a sustainable future is through innovation.
Authenticity: KLA’s work is grounded in environmental science and community planning. We have a clear understanding of our clients’ challenges because we’ve been in their shoes and know how to make their jobs easier.
Leadership: We want to raise the bar on how everyone takes action towards ensuring clean, healthy, and thriving communities across the globe.
We want something simple and clean (feel like current logo is too busy) but not too simple (more than just some text treatment).
