Based on the following discussion/forum comments, I've decided to follow this designers suggestion. If anybody has any opinions as why this is not best, please let me know.
"Feel free to rank your contest in whatever way you wish during the "accepting entries" stage, but keep in mind that some designers will be scared off if they see only one or two different designers in the top 10. The best way to do it is choose your current favorite version of each concept and rank them accordingly, while ranking all other versions of that logo much lower down. For example, in a contest I'm currently in i have the first rank, and about 20 other versions of the same logo which are ranked 60th+."
https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914I'm going to not put the same logo (with variations) in my top ten. I wanted to make that clear so some people didn't think that I moved some of thier logos because I didn't like it.
Also, one question for you all: Beyond the top ten rankings, does it matter if the logo is left "not ranked" or better to have ranked "60th"?
Please advise.
Thanks, Steve
