Great designs all, very much appreciated. As an engineer, I spend time sketching out logo's, and then find how quickly they are blown away by designers with talent.
There is a tendency in the industry we are in to tie the brand too closely to driving, safety etc. So I'm finding I'm less interested in the logo's that are literal with respect to the driving element, looking more to convey the experience, excitement of driving, speed, excellence, motion, more like driving a miata than driving a prius.
Graphics that convey the idea of converging on excellence, hitting a target, being precise, smooth, fast, anticipating what is ahead. Expertise, Mastery, Zen.
If you want to go out on a ledge, you can play with the slogan; "Drive Excellence" has of course two meanings which we like, but excellence isn't the ideal word; overused. "Mastery" could work, but that's old and overused also. We have played with "Driving Excellence", Driving Mastery", Drive Mastery", but they don't quite have the catch or punch we are looking for. Our target is young adults, teens, 16 to 30 years old. Needs to be edgy, not old guys thinking.
I really like where these are headed, and encourage you to go out on the edge more.
